That sounds like me...I'm almost there myself. What I will do is clean the vehicles that I have now with the mothers plastic polish. That should keep me busy for a while. There's still a few odds and ends that need to be finished. A missile here and there and a few other guns and antennas and such.
I plan on customizing most of my BBI stuff, so there's a bunch of non joe stuff yet to be painted and customized. I still want to get them outside and photograph everything. I will need to learn about proper lighting techniques and everything else associated with taking high quality pictures. This will lead into a side hobby of photography (cause the only thing I want to take pics of is the joes). I also want to get a nice camcorder and learn to do the stop motion animation thing. There's always something to do with the joes. |

my wife and i were just talking about this...not just an hour ago.
I opened the conversation up and said "i'm to the point now that when i look at pictures of collections on the tank i will say "OH i have that too...and that and that and that...and those and these here" and she said "...yeah we used to have a basement...now we have a stair case and an aisle between stacks of crap (meaning my bins)" i told her this all started with the dream/idea of creating a diorama...i was so focused on collecting all the pieces that i needed...that when i got "a piece" that spawned the idea to get a related piece...and another and another...and ones that didn't quite fit in well...i can always paint them so they DO fit in...the diorama needs multiples and many many figures. This second incarnation of collecting plastic came about as a way of not playing MMORPGs (a cheap hobby by comparison) so at first it was all about cobra and only cobra...but then when i joined the tank...and saw the dioramas and figures of battle scenes i was like...hmmm battle scenes...yeah i can do that...so i had to rehunt and hunt and hunt for the good guys for my bad guys to fight. so now i have a basement full of plastic...an office full of plastic...and 2 closets full of plastic...branching into starwars bbi true heroes marvel...that today i reflected and said...wtf am i going to do with all of this? i havent even started my dio which was the original intent...and i am afraid (yeah so dramatic) that if i start and finish my dio...that it will be over...that there wont be any point left. all of that said...you wont honestly know what you will do until you come that crossroad...and as of yet you are only aware of that choice approaching...and that "bridge you will cross when you come to it" if that bridge is out...go over and grab your bridge-layer and tollbooth ;) |

I purposely leave a piece out so I will never have a complete collection.
