Our GI Joe life that is. With some places such as Wal-Mart not even carrying Joes anymore and a bad movie and toy line not selling well In my opinion there should be some speculation that GI Joe may be nearing it's end. Even the places that do carry it such as target there is one row of pegs and they're cast off between UFC and The Corps figures, not near it's original spot by TF and SW. Even the Wal_marts that do carry them have them in an entirely seperate aisle (Like at mine). These reasons cause me to worry about the future if there even is one.
Feel free to share and discus your feelings. Thanks.

Yeah, with another movie coming out in the next couple years plus a new cartoon, the G.I. Joe brand has one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel...

Relax. We're all going to die in December 2012 anyway.

No i don't think so. I believe places like Hasbro learned from their mistakes about over producing ROC and hopefully will counter this accordingly...
Places like Wal Mart will come around closer to the release of the second movie. If you remember ROC at WM last year, it took them a while to get on board. Some didn't have vehicles for awhile some didn't stock their figures on the launch date... The movie release will cause the pegs of joes to increase hopefully and don't forget, the holiday season is fast approaching. Gotta get those toys out for consumers... I think POC will be a huge success what with the movie and toys...

evolution...not extinction....remember our lives are online now...our past and future all online ;)
but the days are long over when you could walk into a store and see 20 of anything...much less 20 WHALEs (yeah i remember seeing the whale and passing on it as a child...now i'd kill for a misb whale) |

Think of what the first movie did, if the second movie is the same way it very well could hurt more than help us.

But in all honesty, not a lot of people gave the first movie a chance. To some if it wasn't like the cartoon or comic, then it was not worth it. But now the second movie will take off of where the first left off. There is something to build off of. I am thinking the second movie because of the first, will be a bigger hit. Of course, this is just my opinion...

yeah, that certainly hurt us all. how about you stick with the honest position that you simply didn't like it and not project anything beyond that. |

I read an article on line today about mass extinctions and thought for sure this thread was going to be about that.
As to the thread's actual topic; I think with Renegades we will see a GI Joe renaissance. |
