I'm wondering if there are fellow G.I. Joe reenactors on this forum? Now I am not talking about cosplay; cosplayers can wear uniforms made of plastic and paper, armed with weapons and gears made of cardboards. No, I am calling out to those like me, reenactors, with authentic or reproduction uniforms, functional gears, and real steel or airsoft weapons. I would post pics of my collection but I moved to Asia last summer leaving all my gear and firearms behind. Will have them shipped to me this year. I do too still collect airsoft, and bought a few items here. This is my latest purchase, an RPG-7, full steel and wood construction and weights like the real thing. Enough talk, pictures below:

Cheers!!

P.S. When I say have 'em shipped to me I meant my gear and uniforms, not small arms haha.

How can ya 'reenact' something that wasn't enacted in the first place? lol. I have a cobra bluesuit uniform with real steel helmet, demilled grenades and couple airsoft guns. Dont think I'd take any of my real firearms out with it.

Haha you're so right, I was looking for the right vocab as I type. Maybe G.I. Joe Enactment?

So Airsoft are paintball guns that look like real guns? The prices on most seem very cheap. Does that mean they aren’t as good as a normal paintball gun?
Regardless they look fantastic! |

I've been putting together a Beachhead outfit, I have no idea why, probably because it's easy. The recognizable parts are fairly inexpensive, the vest doesn't match his original look but neither does the 25th or POC versions so I'm really not concerned about it. What bugs me is his pants, woodland is the closest I can find, it's good enough but not what I want. they'll do for now but I'm not happy with it. Pics to follow. hopefully.

Airsoft guns (the good ones at least, not anything you can get at chain stores and what not) are generally 1:1 copies of the real thing, and often function the same way the real gun does. My M4 breaks down exactly like a real one, it loads the same way, the safety is in the same place, and on my gun in particular the forward assist even works.
