Well I'm sure everyone has there own preference for how they arm their COBRA armies. In my Joeverse it's mainly the IRON Grenadiers (who are apart of COBRA, as well as the Headhunters), who use Russian based weapons, from the antiquated AK-47 and Skorpion machine pistol to the more modern AK-74 and SVU-AS sniper rifle. The rest of COBRA's legions use the most modern and newly introduced firearms. HK G36 assault rifles are the common COBRA Viper firearm. HK is actually a much preferred weapons source as COBRA uses everything from the G36 and it's numerous variations to MP5s, MP7s, M416s, and UMPs.

Thanks Z, point taken. Yeah I was trying to customize a Snow-Serpent squad so did some research on current figs and found out they all carry the somewhat old-fashined firearms. But now I look at them I think they look the best carrying AK-series weapons. I was actually thinking of arming a few with RPGs.
If you're going for the Soviet "type" weapons look for yourCobra troopers & Snow Serpents, would suggest the Eastern Block weapons in our "Re-Arm Cobra / Soviet" Soldiers weapon set: -AK47 Assault Rifle w/ Folding Stock -Ak74 Assault Rifle w/ Clip -AK74 Assault Rifle w/ Grenade launcher -AKS-74U Assault Rifle ("mini" AK47) -RPK Machine Gun w/ Bipod & Ammo Drum (Squad automatic version of the AK47) -Dragonov Sniper Rifle w/ Bipod -RPG Launcher Here are some images Also, each item is available individually. Have any other questions or need any "special" set configurations...just let me know! MJ

Also in the Spytropps/GvC era (yeah I know they sucked) but Cobra seemed to update for a short period and switched to a more modern bullpup style assault rifle.
Some where obviously Israeli Tavors, some were SA vectors, some were Singapore SAR-21's, and some looked like scaled down Starship Trooper rifles. |

See on the MARS thing I've always had an odd view. MARS, to me, outifts Cobra with their future tech style weapons. However, basic firearms are bought through the usual channels, former KGB turned arms dealers, raiding other organizations, ect.
As far as Destro himself, while I brilliant weapons engineer, I've always seen him as the type who appreciates a great weapon, no matter who built it, or how old. If it does it's job, then he'll use it. Personally, My Destro has usually used an MP5, or an MP40.

Hello Marauder, sorry for the late reply! This thread got buried quick so I never saw you and the others' messages. I am interested in buying a few weapons from you, can you tell me the shipping cost to ship to Asia (Japan and Taiwan)? I'm working here now and won't be back Canada for another few years so have to do international shipping... You do do Intl. orders, don't you? Thanks and looking forward to your reply!

I have many of those weapons MJ listed in that post. All are awesome. My troops are always fighting over who gets the Dragunov with the bipod, and the AK74 with the grenade launcher. Great stuff.

Lately, I've been collecting alot more of the modern style RoC/PoC style figures and using all those same weapons on those figures. Great thing about these weapons is, much like the real world models, they never go out of style. Here's my PoC CC, with the 74 with grenade launcher. LOVE this rifle...
