Just wondering who is adding the new characters Hasbro has been giving us into their Joe universe? Like White Out, Kick Start, Storm Rider, ETC…
Do you see them as now part of the GI Joe world or are they just tossed in a bin never to be thought of again or maybe used just for customs? |

Really? I didn't know that. To be honest I don't know all that many characters after around 1986.

COol, the A Real American Hero Colletion introduced a few new guys (due to trademark issues at the time) using existing mold (snow Jobs fig was redubbed White Out , but with a black beard, Roadblock was renamed Double Blast), Then during the JvC, ST, VvV Era we got a whole slew of new characters, of which I wish Hasbro would convert into No Ring figures , some of the characters were really cool, like the Plague, Major Barrage, Sgt. Hacker, Crosshairs and the Stall siblings, but they gave us a few stinkers in there as well Big Brawler (ffom ARAH) and Red Spot (although not a bad character his name would be the butt of many jokes), Coil Crusher. And some that were cool but terrible concepts like Venomous Maximus, who was actually Hawk after a failed DNA experiment (or succesful from your PoV).

Whiteout is Snow Job with a Black Beard. That's why I didn't add him. If he looks unique, the filecard is interesting. He's an instant add. If they are just rehashing the same characters with a new name, I got supremely annoyed (Chameleon). I also hate when they come up with a great new looking character and give him an Old Code Name. (Blonde Airborne, Black Rip-Cord) Just make a new character, or leave the old character... but laziness is not something that will be awarded with my hard earned cash.
Although, the change in Hawk and Duke was awesome. I guess Hawk got over his Billy Idol days and quit dying his hair when he made general. Or, he decided a General shouldn't be running an 80's cover band. It's not "appropriate" But they looked way too similiar and needed something to change it up a bit. They are too easy to confuse. |

I bought all 25th/ME and POC to keep MOC. But, I only display loose 25th/ME figures, so I only include figures that fit in and look good with the 25th/ME. So far the only ones I mixed in with my loose 25th/ME is: Helix, Charbroil, Monkeywrench, and Storm Rider.

Do you see Charbroil as a new character or just an updated version of BQ? Just wondering.

They're mixed in. I'd rather have new figures than version 133 of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. Dreadnoks are the easiest to add to. You've got a gang of bad a$$ bikers that occasionally run into someone who can go toe to toe in badassery with them. He becomes a Drednok. The ones that can't keep up, wind up being John Doe in the local morgue; only identified by their tatoos or dental records.
