So I was cruising YoJoe.com and noticed that Snake Eyes is on version 50 with the release of the Jet Storm cycle earlier this year. He has been consistently remade every year in various forms since his debut in 1982.
The only years in which he wasn't remade was: 1984, 1986-88, 1990, 1992, 1995-96, 1998-99, and 2001. From 2002 forward multiple releases have been made with 2009 marking 10 versions in one year. This is the total amount of releases for this figure between 1982 and 2002 alone. Doing the math, that means that in Snake Eyes 29 years as a G.I. Joe, there were only 11 years of that in which he didn't get a makeover in plastic. He averaged one every other year for the first twenty years but since 2002 he has accumulated the remaining 39 revisions. Which is two more than that of his Cobra nemesis, who Storm Shadow has received throughout his total existence. And if you're wondering who runs in second to the Joes commando/ninja and resident bad-ass as most made figure. That honor would go to the Cobra Commander whom, if you include the Dr. Rex figure from the Rise of Cobra movie, has gone through a total of 45 revisions. Thirteen of those in 2008 alone and beating out Snake Eyes for the title of most remakes in one year. Not bad for a guy that started off as a mail-in offer in 1982! Now keep in mind this does not reflect the new Pursuit of Cobra line out now nor any revisions made to the upcoming Renegades cartoon. We know that at least one more CC, SE, and SS has been released. But I can guess that we're gonna get more of these guys (if you haven't already had enough). Resources: YOJOE.COM | Snake Eyes YOJOE.COM | Cobra Commander YOJOE.COM | Storm Shadow

We'd like to forget some of those 50.
Is that a mouth I see on the last one? |

Quite true. But you have to admit that it's amazing that SE has been hashed out so many times. I'm sure there's some years in your own life that you wish there was no evidence of existing...
