Which I think is shitty, but Hasbro knows they have an opportunity there to sell 2x the Snake Eyes, so by dammit, they're going to. |

But funnily enough, the upcoming 2011 SE (the badass one that will become my default SE) is going to be sold as "chase" variants or whatever, one head to each figure instead of both heads with the same version.

I would love it if they could just standardize the neck length of the figures so we don't get Giraffe-neck Dial Tone. I don't know why Hasbro varies the neck length in the first place, as it just hurts their ability to make good kitbashes down the line.
Seriously, Hasbro? |

I think paintless customs is a great idea. Change heads, gear, and weapons, and you have a new character. However, Hasbro already does this and sells more figures. They combine Snow Job / Artic Snake Eyes parts with a different head and new paint job and they have "Whiteout." They change up Clutch and Lift Ticket and have "Tomahawk." They repaint stormshadow and now it's a red ninja or ninja viper. With minor changes it's a recognizably different character. Not complaining, just stating the fact. Some of the repaints and changes are okay, but sometimes they get carried away with it. Duke, C Cmdr, S Shadow, Snake Eyes, Scrap Iron, are all prime examples. I don't mind a new mold but repaints get old after a while.

Well even as a kid, I would customize Joes. They were probably one of the first and easiest figures to customize, with their 3 screws.
The 25th construction makes it easier to swap heads, but the ARAH figures held together better when it came to arms, legs, and heads. The torsos were a different matter, but if one broke, it was much easier for me to fix it as a kid to unscrew it and replace the rubber band. Of course, the 25th figures have a much wider range of customizing, but it's also nothing new to kids who buy Joes. |

That would be awesome if they sold a kit of unpainted parts. Or something like the Halo 2 packs at tru, with a guy and a bunch of gear
