Ok, I don't normally get involved in discussions like this but I just checked HTS's shipping policy:
Shipping Policy HasbroToyShop.com is your choice for online shopping convenience from the brands you trust. One ship method per order. If shipping to Canada, your order will ship standard only. Please check the availability of product and shipping approximations of each item in your order to ensure timely delivery of your order. Product Availability The availability of each item we sell on HasbroToyShop.com is shown on the product description page in stock items ship within one business day of when you place your order (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.) (By “shipped,” we mean the item has left our fulfillment center.) Because our goal is to offer you the hottest items as soon as possible, some items may be en route to our fulfillment center when you place your order. We will estimate the availability of these items for you. The availability of any item we sell is subject to change. Shipping Address When providing us with shipping information, please enter a U.S. street or Canadian address – WE CANNOT SHIP TO a PO OR APO/FPO BOX. We are currently shipping to the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Canada only. When you set up your account, you can establish a shipping address to use on all orders. We also offer you the ability to add multiple shipping addresses when ordering more than one item. These addresses can be stored in your account and selected for use as desired. For your convenience, you can access your account at any time to make changes to this information. Shipping Options We offer you three shipping options to meet your needs when shipping in the contiguous US and two options for shipments to Canada. Consider how quickly you would like to receive your order to help you choose a shipping option. Currently, our shipping options are as follows (please allow extra shipping time for orders delivered to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands)and note that an additional fee of $20 applies to shipments outside of the contiguous US and an additional fee of $25 for shipments to Canada: For shipments within the US Standard Shipping: Allow 7-10 business days from date shipped (Ships via U.S. Postal Service or FedEx). Priority Shipping: Allow 3-5 business days from date shipped (Ships via FedEx). Express Shipping: Allow 1-2 business days from date shipped (Ships via FedEx). For shipments to Canada Standard shipping: allow 7-10 business days from date shipped, longer for outlying areas (ships via UPS). If all items are in stock, express orders are shipped overnight for delivery within one business day within the US. Express orders placed before 12:00 pm ET will ship the same business day (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) if all items are in stock. Please note that orders placed on weekends or holidays will ship the next business day. Express service is not available for shipments to Canada. When your order consists of multiple items, we will always attempt to group your items into as few shipments as possible. At times, when your order contains multiple items, it may be necessary to send your items in separate shipments to ensure that you receive them in a timely manner. In this case, you'll only be charged the order-processing fee for the first shipment. All subsequent shipments from that order will incur the per-pound fee only. The shipping charge for your order will be displayed on the order summary page just before you submit your order. If you are shipping to multiple addresses, there will be a fee of $4.99 for each additional address. and it clearly states that they do use USPS, so this looks like it is entirely their choice not to ship to APO/FPO boxes. That said, I think I'll be using BBTS from now on. CTR1 I didn't see - in the quoted passage from Hasbro's site - any reference to USPS. Perhaps I missed it - can you tell me what line it is on? Today I received a shipment from Hasbrotoyshop. It came via UPS (United Parcel Service). I just did a quick google search regarding UPS and APO addresses. Apparently they do not ship to APO addresses. Here is a link: Does UPS ship to APO addresses? - Yahoo! Answers Here is the relevant text: Best Answer - Chosen by Voters No UPS will not ship to any APO/FPO address. The only way to get it over here is to use USPS. You might want to check the AAFES website (military exchange website) to see if they have what your wanting there. They don't charge extra to ship to an APO/FPO address. You can always ask the company if they will ship it out USPS. Some companies will go out of their way to help us out. Other then that check with amazon.com most of the companies that they sponsor will ship here! Good luck! |

I think Playful has a good point here though. Hasbro, or someone calling the shots there, has gone out of there way to suck-up to the anti-American international community. Thats how we ended up with the steaming pile of internationalist cow dung that was Rise of Cobra.

Thats ok if Hts dosen't ship them. It sucks yeah! But, I'll always find Companies that will gladly ship them to me while i'll soon be deployed. Try Smalljoes,Guru planet, or Brians toys they will glady ship to us over in Iraq and Afganistan.

Together Tankers, I think we were able to change things for the better. Hasbro has changed their shipping policies now to:
"We are currently shipping to the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Canada, and APO/FPO addresses... For shipments to APO/FPO Addresses, allow 15-18 business days from date shipped." Our voices were heard, and we righted a wrong in time for the military families this Christmas. To my fellow comrades in arms, Happy Veteran's Day! Yo Joe! |
