Is it wrong that I still plan to continue to refresh at Hasbro's shop?

Chances are they didn't even make it to HTS. Reports were that they were sold out at con.
Oh well. It's an SDCC exclusive. Lucky anything makes it out post-Con. Knowing Hasbro, and seeing now how popular the Sarge figure is, they'll figure out some way to release him. Maybe next year in his Slaughter's Marauders and Warthog colors. Exclusives are made for the Collectors market. That means they are made in limited quantities. Galactus didn't even make it 'in stock' to HTS. I lucked out and got WWII Cap and Thor before they sold out. Luck. That's all it was. No one dropped the ball. It was an exclusive made for the Con. Anyone lucky enough to get it for non-EBay prices was just that, lucky. Galactus was in stock for about 10 min my buddy picked one up. I should know i was up from 3am-11pm hitting refresh over a million times. Also all figures except Galactus and SGT. (well SGT never stocked at all) never restocked everyone else did at least once. I had Galactus in my cart waiting for the Sgt. Slaughter to show up. As most can see, I waited too long and missed out on him. All I wanted was combined shipping. Was that wrong? I despise hts.com for the misinformation and dangling a carrot in our faces. At least I can get Galactus again at retail. However, Sgt. Slaughter will be missed. Gor those that despised the 25th stuff, they sure seem happy to have Sgt. Slaughter.

Part of the problem was that Hasbro was not keeping track of how many you could buy at SDCC on Saturday or Sunday. I went through the line, bought the limit (4) handed them my badge so they could mark off my Slaughters, they said "Nah, we don't need it"... JapanX80 could back me up on that, he went through the line on Sunday to buy one, and they didn't check off his badge either. I could have gone right back through the line and purchased them all day long. And I should have, at least then I could have offered them to other fellow Tankers. I called HTS yesterday asking if they knew when the Sgt Slaughters would be back in stock. The lady from HTS told me and I quote "those will not be back in stock. They were sold out in 5 seconds."
I then paused for a second and said "Really 5 seconds?" She said "Yes sir, they sold out in 5 seconds." Could this be a record? |
