hasbro dropped the ball. Not everyone can go to the con, and HTS is where they go for the con exclusives, solely disappointed.

I called HTS yesterday asking if they knew when the Sgt Slaughters would be back in stock. The lady from HTS told me and I quote "those will not be back in stock. They were sold out in 5 seconds."
I then paused for a second and said "Really 5 seconds?" She said "Yes sir, they sold out in 5 seconds." Could this be a record? |

I didn't really see the appeal of the figure. I am not knocking those who really want one mind you, I just don't get it. Sure, exclusive yadda yadda yadda but ... I dunno. I guess as much as the Sarge is "part of" the Joe-verse, I don't consider him to be part of it. Just MHO.

Five seconds is simply impossible. That isn't how their system works. And good grief, it was so sluggish yesterday too. It took far more than 5 seconds to put something in your cart. Then you had to verify shipping, address, credit card, etc., then finally say, "Yes, I want the order." Seriously, you have to load like five screens to get to the purchase - with the last crashing often. If they sold out in 5 seconds, they were purchased internally.

I wouldnt be surprised if they show in their computer as being sold out in 5seconds. But I would bet its due to the way the system is set up. They inventory entry was made into the database, and then immediatley (read approx. 5 seconds later) they were marked out of stock.

Chances are they didn't even make it to HTS. Reports were that they were sold out at con.
Oh well. It's an SDCC exclusive. Lucky anything makes it out post-Con. Knowing Hasbro, and seeing now how popular the Sarge figure is, they'll figure out some way to release him. Maybe next year in his Slaughter's Marauders and Warthog colors. Exclusives are made for the Collectors market. That means they are made in limited quantities. Galactus didn't even make it 'in stock' to HTS. I lucked out and got WWII Cap and Thor before they sold out. Luck. That's all it was. No one dropped the ball. It was an exclusive made for the Con. Anyone lucky enough to get it for non-EBay prices was just that, lucky.

They where never listed as for sale. I wish these toy company reps would stop making stuff up. Hasbro did not realize how many of these two figures would sell so they under produced. Am I upset, not really. If i want it bad enough I will just pay the e-bay price.

And just so no one complains about the graphics and banners showing Sarge. Those are made pre or during Con. Before they know how many they are going to have left.
