OR Force Recon Marines go through Ranger School (team leaders and above anyway) so it could be argued that he wears a Ranger beret..which USED to be black like the figure but now tan. Being in Force Recon doesn't necessarily mean they'd go to Ranger school. On the flipside of that coin, I knew regular infantry Marines who went to Ranger school. The Marines I knew who graduated wore their tab sewn in there cover or under their pocket flap. |

I think you have to be in the Regiment to wear the tan beret. Just going to Ranger School wouldn't do it. In Vietnam, some Force Recon Marines wore camo berets on patrol.

Although not allowed in the real world, Scarlett and Lady Jaye are both Ranger Qualified.

If we´re going with foreign special forces, Big Ben is supposed to b ex SAS.
Recoil is described as a LRRP, but he seems to be from the post Vietnam era and my understanding was that the LRRP units (as designated) ceased to exist soon after Vietnam. The whole G.I.Joe team is meant to be one big special force of course. |
