Tankers,
In the interest of setting up my Joeverse, I have been trying to organize the different divisions of GI Joe and assign each member where they belong. This list will also allow me to easily build proper Special Missions Teams for specific missions based on the team members Primary/Secondary/Other Military Specialties. (This is why many members will be listed twice below. Some of them wear many hats!) (This is a WIP and I just started it, so it is not all inclusive. PLEASE BEAR WITH ME!!) GI JOE DIVISIONS: ADMINISTRATION: RECON: HEAVY WEAPONS: SUPPLY: INTELLIGENCE: General Flagg: Chief Strategic Commander General Hawk: GI Joe Leader Scarlett: Counterintelligence Cover Girl: Counterintelligence Duke: Miltary Intelligence Lady Jaye: Intelligence ELECTRONICS/COMMUNICATIONS: Breaker: Communications Mainframe: Computer Operations Flash: Electronics CBR Grand Slam: Electronic Engineer TRANSPORT: Clutch: Transportation Engineer Crankcase: Motor Vehicle Driver Bazooka: Armored Vehicle Driver Cover Girl: Armored Vehicle Driver Flint: Rotary Wing Aircraft Pilot MEDIC: Doc: Medic Lifeline: Medic Stalker: Medic TRAINING: Snake-Eyes: Hand to Hand Combat Instructor Outback: Survival Training Instructor Sgt. Slaughter: Drill Instructor Sgt. Stone: Special Operations Instructor Bench Press: Combat Specialist ENGINEERS: Zap: Engineer Tunnel Rat: Engineer Grand Slam: Electronic Engineer Short Fuze: Infantry Engineer Clutch: Transportation Engineer ARMOR: Cover Girl: Armor Crankcase: Armor Bazooka: Armor Defeating Weapons Systems Heavy Duty: Heavy Anti-armor Weapons DEMOLITIONS/EOD: Tunnel Rat: Explosive Ordnance Disposal Tripwire: EOD/Demolitions COVERT OPS: Snake-Eyes: Covert Ops Lady Jaye: Covert Ops Helix: Covert Ops ARTILLERY: General Hawk: Artillery Grand Slam: Laser Artillery Short Fuze: Artillery SMALL ARMS: Beachhead: Small Arm Armorer Grunt: Small Arms Attack Specialist INFANTRY: Spirit: Tracker Breaker: Communications Nick Fury: Commando Snake-Eyes: Commando Stalker: Ranger Beachhead: Ranger Flint: Warrant Officer Duke: Airborne Infantry Grunt: Infantry Roadblock: Heavy Machine Gunner Zap: Ground Artillery Soldier Flash: Laser Trooper Heavy Duty: Heavy Ordnance Trooper Mainframe: Computer Operations Outback: Survivalist Clutch: Vehicle Operator KITCHEN STAFF: Roadblock: Cook SOCIAL SERVICES: Spirit: Social Services Never being in the military, I may have missed some and a few of them should probably be combined EXAMPLE: Should Recon & Covert Ops be under the Intelligence heading? Any help would be appreciated. Bear in mind, I want to make this as realistic as possible! Thanks for playing, guys!! JLT |

It looks like you've got several Joes in more than one slot. Bazooka shoud be in heavy weapons, not transportation, even though he is qualified as an armored vehicle driver. Wild Bill and Lift Ticket should be in transportation. Under the medical section, Doc would most likely be Chief Medical Officer, and I'd replace Stalker with Stretcher.

What about Dial Tone for communications? Plus you have the same people in several groups. I would suggest going over file cards and divide them up into Primary military specialties to avoid having the same person in 3 divisions.
Plus you forgot environmental specialist... Cold weather, desert, jungle... Although there are a lot more cold weather than any other environment on the joe team. LOL Plus other than being 4th in command of the team.. Beachhead is a qualified instructor.

Your admin section should contain Hawk, Joe Colton, & Col. Courage, off the top of my head. Recon should get Sneak Peek, Ambush, Recoil, Spirit, Dart, Pathfinder, & Spearhead. All the machine gunners would go in heavy weapons, plus Short Fuse and Downtown. Chuckles and Jinx can go to intel.

Yeah, well if your breaking it down like a military it would look something like this.
Personnel A group (or company) for HQ Scouts Maintenance- Armorer, Vehicle repair...etc Medical- PA, medics Admin Commo Mortars Intel Supply Pilots would have to go into Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing Anything Naval (SEALs or Watercraft) would be in a different unit Fire teams (companies in an Infantry BN) - Team Leader (PL) Team NCO (Plt Sgt) Medic RTO - radio Fire team leaders (NCOs - E6s) Riflemen (4), Grenadier(2), Automatic Riflemen (1) (Machine Gun) per fire team ( A and B ) Thats what I can remember for now.. I was in the infantry and armor...can't speak for Aviation, Engineer, Field Artillery units |

Thanks for the start guys! Lots of work to do! I appreciate the ideas!
Yes, as I stated in the OP, I have people grouped doing double duty based on their Primary and Secondary specialties, so when there is no fighting to be done, they can be fully utilized! JLT |

This might help...a list of specialties..
Half the Battle: Indexes In terms of military staff, it depends on how big your army/collection is. I noticed that all the figures you've listed with slots are 25th / ME. If that's the case a small company is all you need. You'll need; S1 Admin / Personnel S2/S3 Intel / Ops S4 Logistics S6 C-E (Communications-Electronics) |
