I gotta give my two cents, because I love him as well. I got into GI Joe when I was really young and innocent, and I really had no idea what a "terrorist" organization was all about, to say nothing of US special forces. Low Light, for me, has always been a symbol of my introduction into the "real world." Most of the other Joes, while cool, are also campy (Shipwreck, Cross Country, Mutt, Bazooka, etc.), but Low Light was very what you see is what you get. He is a killer. He wears dark clothes, red shades, and he blows peoples heads off at long distances. I wish more of the figures were like him. War is not campy.

Just watched the "Nightmare Assault" episode of the Sunbow cartoon. Which was actually pretty good (as compared to more cheesier episodes, this one had a decent story to it). Dood seriously has some psychological baggage. I mean, on par with Snake Eyes. Cool part is, he knows how to handle his issues. And he's an insomniac. How perfect is that for a sniper?
To be honest, I think Low-Light is a popular character because there's alot of development around the figure. Between the filecard, the cartoon, and such, there's just enough for us to get and idea of what this guy is about. But enough let out for us to draw our own conclusions.

Low Light was never a favourite character but when i played with ARAH O Ring, he was a well used character, remember "God" from NAVY SEALS movie... the sniper, awsome role. Low Light was my distance man, chopper would drop him off in the distance and he would end my skirmishes if the front runners could not. I just respect the role, and knowing a few snipers in the marines and LE, theyre pretty cool.

I always had this fantasy battle where he's a mile away and Snake-Eyes wades into a group of baddies, and slices and dices while LowLight picks off guys all around him.
