I can understand the midset where someone feels they're getting some sort of twisted revenge on a company for "forcing" people to spend a lot for one new little item, not that it makes it okay.
Its more odd to me when its just a little thing, like one figure from a cheap 2 pack. The drive to the store, waiting in line, the possible extreme embarassment of being caught...seems like just buying itnis minimal by comparison. Also, the repacks that have customs or stuff with arguable greater value suggest some sort of insane compulsion. |

I couldn't look at myself in the mirror and respect who I saw if I did that crap. Besides, it wouldn't be worth my time to do it anyways. Re-packers are cheap ass losers.

I'm convinced there is a subset that do it for the thrill of it. I've just seen some random stuff that I think the people are doing to see how crazy of a repack they can get away with. They aren't in it for the figures, but to just put crazy a$$ figures in a pack and try to get away with it. Kinda like graffiti. They can come back and look at their "art." I've seen figures that are actually more rare in the place of other figures.
Still couch bags, but they aren't after the figures. Cause let's face it, not many of these figures are really worth that much loose. By the time they go through all of this they could have just got one on e-bay if they really wanted to. It's the thrill of the repack for some of these jokers - I'm convinced. |

Ok thought this was about people packing up broken stuff & taking it back, not figure swapping. Yeah that one's lame and practically screams "I'm on food stamps and shouldn't be worrying about buying toys".
B/c only a knuckleheaded mofo would do something this stupid. Otherwise if you have old crap that no one wants, dump it at goodwill for a tax writeoff. |

When I first saw this thread I assumed it was a new thread. Then I stared reading the posts and I could have sworn it was an old thread I've read before because some of the posts I was reading seemed exactly like the posts of an older thread. I had to do a double take on the date stamp on the posts to verify it was new.
