Gyre Viper works with Hasbro in developing new ideas and prototypes hes actaully the grandson of the guy who funded Hasbro the money to launch GI Joe and worked along side in the shadows with WS Toys who were connected to the factory's in china creating mass amounts of joes right under the nose of the Hasbro Hierarchy and becoming one of the wealthiest men in America.
after serving time for his crimes he repented and joined hisstank.com and tried to give back all that he took from Hasbro becoming a Hero and legend all in the same breathe. Look him up on Wikipedia the guys a big part of Joe Nostalgia

A year ago I wouldve laughed at this statement but Hasbro has been throwing us some bones recently.
I just hope for the 30th anniversary they remake the remaining classic characters from arah that they never got around to doing. Sure we'll get a shitload of snake eyes,Dukes and Cobra commanders in the process but whatever, there are a bunch of characters that should be done,or more accurately re-done(leather neck) |

Are there members here who work for Hasbro? Yes, I'm sure there are. I mean if you worked for a toy company wouldn't you check out the top fan site of the product you work on? Having said that there is a huge difference between the people who work there and the ones who have the final say checking this out. Plus this is just another source of information at their disposal.
Now as I get my club and walk back over to the the dead horse........... well, do some of you think that what your saying might not be getting through because of the way your saying it? No? Ok, well lets just play grown up for just one minute and think. How do you think it would go over taking some of the posts that are on here into the board room for an executive to read? Sure it may be the truth but what some people say here just wouldn't go over well in a workplace. Imagine going to your supervisor like some of these posts are written. Better yet not your supervisor but go to the CEO like that. How do you think that would effect you. |

i thought/think for sure some people in here have to be plants. some of the topics that have been started kinda sound like the old school psychological surveys they used to give to target specific consumers groups.
or even to just try to make it sound normal for grown men/women to spend LOTS of money buying toys that are not for their children.

If anything the design team is on the same page as the fans; the shareholders and other guys in corporate however... Quote:

I'm sure the designers check out all the sites. The times I've talked to them at Comic Con they always talk about stuff they read online. And any time they've fixed something about a figure (duk's wrists, Viper, etc), I'm sure it was in no small part due to negative fan reaction.
They look at various sites. The days of members from the design team interacting publicly with fans online are over, unfortunately. It was great while it lasted, but those days were over 5+ years ago. This is why everyone had to resort to Q/A sessions and asking them stuff at the roundtables at the cons. |

True. I doubt highly a Hasbro rep would come out and say"Here I am and I'm with Hasbro."

That would suck wouldn't it? Ok well think about how many hundreds of fans that would be PMing them day in and day out with problems they have with a figure or questions about things or wanting to hook them up with a job or just anything. I don't blame them for staying on the qt. |
