Well, the Combat Heroes anyway.
Grabbed a few on clearance for her. Yeah, they say ages 3+ but she's smart and doesn't chew on crap. She LOVED them! Now comes the funniest part. While she was holding the Cobra Trooper, I took Duke and pointed his gun at her figure and did the "Pow!Pow! Rat-tat-tat!" sound effects, she in turns does a "Arrrrrrgh!" death rattle and makes the trooper fall over. I've gotta shoot some video! As I type this, she's having a battle over the Fisher Price Little People Farm. I think Firelfy must have blown the place to bits, 'cause I just heard a "Kaboom!" come from the living room.

I have a 3yo little girl and she loves joes. She also loves Transformers and Star Wars. My wife was mortified a couple of days ago b/c everywhere they went my little one kept introducing herself as Dinobot. She is gonna make some nerd very happy one day!

You are definitely Father of the Year (even though you are a Ford guy). I would love to see her popping a can of whoop...butt(?) on the Fischer Price insurgents. Wipe those fake smiles off their candy asses. er, butts. My daughter is now 20, and was raised with GI Joes (she calls them Yo-Joes). She favors the dreadnoks. When she was a toddler, she transported My Little Ponies and Puppy Surprise inside the MCC and had parties on the deck of the Flagg. I had 12" Fuke, Stalker, CC, and SE and she used them instead of KEn with Barbies because the GI Joes were cooler. THe Barbie motor home was a Bivouac command center. it was hilarious. She grew up loving sci fi and fantasy, plays first-person shooters, and helps me with custom concepts. she also plays Warhammer 40K. She puts most of her boy friends to shame when it comes to being a toy geek. Her brother is 17 months older and they argue over who gets the Joes first. I used to say it was to whomever had the first boy. Now I say whoever has the first child.
Now that is my legacy... Yo Joe

Now my daughter is contemplating dressing as a Dreadnok for Halloween...
For a dad, there is a downside.

Quartermaine, your daughter sounds incredibly cool. I'm trying to steer my little Morgan in the same direction by exposing her to different ideas and things and then let her decide for herself.
She does like clothes and make-up and likes to dance to music, but she also loves the Shelby Mustang (her Power Wheels one too), wearing a cowgirl outfit complete with rifle and pistol and now GI Joes.

I have been through the ringer with my daughter, but she is a great kid. Thanks for your compliments and kind words. AS a dad, I have learned to embrace the double standard for boys and girls and make it work for us. I had to learn the hard way to let her choose for herself. And she has done pretty darned good.
along the way, she taught me that there are at least 20 shades of pink in a Barbie wardrobe (shoes), and I taught her that barbie needs baby powder to get her pants on (that just sounds wrong). During a Barbie wedding, Stalker borrowed Marine Corps dress blues to wed Barbie (Duke was just a friend). Barbie really loved Snake Eyes but he couldn't take off his mask long enough for her to see what he really looked like. Ah, the metaphorical imagination of a child. We all wear masks, Barbie. Eventually we bought a GI JOE female pilot, an she fell in love with Destro because of his Mask (???) and he was really cool. This felt like reliving my junior high romances so I suggested we play with Playmobil for a while. I suggest a book called Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters. It helped me at a time when I was really struggling with my daughter. Made a huge difference. Yo....Joe

My ten year old daughter collects Joes, their base of operations is the attic of her dollhouse, the ceiling is too low for her dollhouse family, but perfect for Joes. So I go into my daughters room after she leaves for school to check and see if she made her bed and stuff, then I notice the bizarre things GI Joe is doing in the dollhouse... I started noticing this stuff on New Years day when the Joes were all laying on the floor of the dollhouse, except Helix, who was sitting on the table with her arms straight up in the air like she was still partying, the joes I figured, all passed out, but Helix could hold her liquor...Unlike Hawk, who looked like he was vommiting in the big pink fisher price toilet. This is the scene as it appeared to me... my wife and I don't drink, so my daughter should have no concept of drunkeness and new years eve parties, so I didn't even ask. After that I started checking the doll house and asking my daughter what was happening. one day all the Joes were downstairs in the kitchen and bathroom and living room instead of the attic, they looked like they were cleaning. My daughter explained that due to government cutbacks, GI Joe was unable to pay the dollhouse family rent for the attic, so now they have to do chores. LOL the dollhouse family were kicking back while Hawk cleaned the toilet he vomitted in, Scarlett cooked dinner, Helix washed dishes, Grandslam was setting the table, and the others were cleaning the kid's bedroom. Ah the imagination of a ten year old!!!
