Moving across town I started going through all the crap I had in storage. I found my old binder from geez...mid-late 80's I guess and believe me the writing was horrific, but it made me remember.
I was such a Joe dork, that I used to literally write down the mission then have a briefing before I played. This of course when I was becoming a closet Joe fan because I was in Jr. High...I found "Operation: Whiteout" which was basically a rescue mission to get Blizzard out of a Snow Serpent base. I wrote down the Joes I was using and what they would do....and it was retarded. "Hit N Run is gonna come in at 80 degrees from the drop off"....who the hell knows what that meant, but it was fun. So now I'm looking at my Joes today and thinking: who could I team up and name the mission appropriately?......Right now I have BBQ and Blowtorch working on "Operation: Smoulder"...apparently theyre gonna set stuff on fire then put it out. Just thought I'd share how I was being in middle school...then again earlier today. |

Not as a kid, sometimes as an adult. I once wrote out part of a movie plot-who was going to star, types of missions, etc. In fact, I once wrote a Special Missions story set in the city I was living in based around a drug bust that really happened.

I got bored at work so I drew a makeshift map of Cobra Island and planned the personel options for an assault/defense using ARAH stuff.
Going rather well I think. |

when i was young i would reinact cartoons, sometimes I would crossover with other toys or playsets like the hordak base or the slime pit from masters of the universe. I also used the ghostbuster station alot, but I don't recall writing out the missions, although I did for a school project draw a picture of optimus and wrote the origin story of transformers on the back of the pic.

I never did that when I was little, but it sounds kind of funny to find after all this time.
What I wouldn't mind seeing Hasbro do is something similar with the Joes as they do with MU - give some basic scenario info along with the file dossier and a code to log onto the web for the character's mission briefing. Not quite the same thing, but it could be a springboard for play |

You could have set scenarios and maybe an ending in 10 steps, logging in once a week or something like that. |
