Still taking those commissions. Gimme a character, and I'll see what I can do.
Storm Shadow: The organization now known as "Cobra" has many contributors, and very few are as baffling as the Japanese "Arashikage" organization. Quite possibly older than the Yakuza (though closely involved with said organization), the Arashikage's current Oyabun -"Family Boss", if one can compare it to the Yakuza's hierarchy- is the enigmatic young man known as "Tommy". His birth name is unknown, as all efforts to identify him have brought in no results. In his dealings with Cobra, he is known as "Storm Shadow", a direct translation of his organization's name. His organization holds a strong grudge against the United States, and this grudge stems from the Imperial Japanese way of life being dismantled after World War 2. The Arashikage functioned as a "covert force for hire" in support of Japan during World War 2, and since have lost a significant amount of financial support. Storm Shadow aligns himself with Cobra in order to bring his organization back to full strength and operate under a new world government. His background as an enforcer, hitman, and bodyguard make him an excellent candidate for Cobra's high command. He handles many of the business transactions in Japan and throughout Asia, and has been tied to arms smuggling to the Yakuza and several other criminal organizations in countries where firearms are inaccessible. Despite his criminal demeanor, Storm Shadow fancies himself a man of honorable actions. He refuses to harm those who cannot defend themselves, and will not do anything that violates his own personal code of honor. He is an accomplished painter, and collects various Japanese antiquities. He is a martial artist of the highest caliber, and has been sighted attending underground fighting competitions (competing and possibly recruiting). Storm Shadow is not a ninja, either. He is very skilled in many forms of archaic combat, as well as a deadly sniper and assassin. Gear: Hidden knives, silenced Walther PPK, punching dagger, Ingram MAC-10 Uniform: Storm Shadow fancies white clothing, especially suits with long coats (Paris Pursuit/Reloaded). He is usually seen wearing expensive sunglasses, even at night. |

How's about a shot at Gung-Ho or Beachhead?
Gung-Ho: Eitienne was the ideal Jarhead: Big, mean, and willing to kick asses on a regular basis. Throughout his tour in the USMC, he was highly decorated. He was quite possibly one of the few Marines to argue against Dwell Time (mandatory time at home after combat tours). He fought in the Battle for Fallujah, and had multiple combat tours in other parts of Iraq and Afghanistan. His foul language and rough attitude kept many people away from him, and his status as a Force Recon Marine did little to put people at ease around him. Whatever Gung-Ho did, he did it loud and motivated. Etienne's attitude toward leisure was about as intense as his attitude toward accomplishing his mission: He did it loud and he went all out. His tendency to make jokes about other branches of the armed forces was never an intentional disrespect- like most Marines, he saw it as "friendly jabs". Unfortunately, his ribbing did not wash too well with an Army Captain- who (under the influence of alcohol, and without identifying himself) attempted to reprimand the Marine. Words were exchanged and the Army Captain- a son of a retired 4-star general- wound up missing teeth and unconscious on a barroom floor. Gung-Ho's bleeding knife wound did nothing to justify the fight, and he found himself in the Brig. Gung-Ho's impressive record drew the attention of General Hawk, who immediately decided that the Marine would be "stabbed to death in prison". After recruiting the Marine, Hawk has found that the motivated jarhead mentality has served the Joes well, as Gung-Ho is willing to go above and beyond (and many times go too far) to get the mission done. Gung-Ho is a team-oriented Operative, and has an outstanding sense of loyalty to his comrades. "I swear, I knew why they called them Jarheads. But someone's filled that Cajun's Jar full of snakes and whiskey. You know, if he ever gets captured... they'll beg us to take him back in less than 24 hours".- Hawk. Gear: M-4 w/underslung 12-gauge, Colt 1911, M32 Grenade Launcher, Bowie knife. Uniform: MarPat camo, Dragonscale body armor, "Marine-Style" rolled sleeves, scar from temple to cheek. Hit & Run? Too Easy.
Hit & Run could have very well done anything he wanted. However, he instead chose the life of a prankster and a delinquent. His activities frustrated local police officers in his hometown, especially after finding that before they could even determine which location the little bastard had ran, he'd already returned his "stolen" goods or otherwise righted his wrongs. His actions would catch up to him when he decided to take it to the next level and instead of running on foot, he'd take a car. A few hours and after nearly killing himself, he found himself in front of a judge for the crime that would become his callsign. After finishing his sentence, he opted for the Army- based on a conversation he overheard where two soldiers were complaining about how often they ran. To Hit & Run, this was the ultimate lifestyle- always on the move and constantly getting the adrenaline kick. After 9/11, he found himself in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. The mountainous terrain proved no challenge, and he embraced the thrill of engaging the enemy. He could outmaneuver anyone. The problem- He didn't wear his body armor. In his mind, he needed to be more mobile than his enemy, and a moving target like himself was harder to hit- the enemy could shoot all day at some soldier slogging though the mountains in 150 pounds of gear. After several reprimands, Hawk intervened and Hit and Run died of "Cardiac Arrest from moving with too much gear and no recovery". It is debated that Hit & Run is addicted to the "Runner's High", a sensation that runners feel once they reach a certain point. Hit & Run lacks the ability to stay still for any significant amount of time, and is the one Joe who could turn a roving security patrol into "some dude running in circles with a gun". He is never used as a pointman (again), and has occasionally found himself going too far. For all his flaws, he is a well-respected member of the team and continually assists his teammates in "lightening their combat load" by advising them to drop nonessential gear, and shares his techniques for maneuvering rapidly with others. The enemy is terrified of him, to an extent where one Cobra operative declared that he "thought there were ten of them out there in the woods, because they were everywhere at once"- Hit and Run had taken point and gotten too far ahead of his squad, and was desperately trying to relocate them (they were 4 miles behind). Gear- M-4, Glock G18 pistol, Cold Steel Tanto knife Uniform- Tiger-Stripe green fatigues, Webgear, lightweight "rappelling helmet", custom-designed boots (high ankles with soles similar to running shoes).
