Today when I was hunt at my local TRU, I checked to see if they had anything new cause of the sale but they had the same crap. Almost all ROC stuff, few Mech suits and tons of POC Artic Destro and Zartan. I saw at the end of the aisle a couple with a basket full of Joe stuff debating about what to take. I asked them if they were collectors. The man said no, the stuff was for his boy, his birthday was coming up. His son had been watching the cartoons on the HUB and became a fan. I had seen the stuff they had in their basket and asked if they would mind if a I gave them a suggestion were they could get the same or similar items for less. I told them about the stuff that was coming out at Ross. I told them there was a Ross next door, wouldn't hurt to check it out. So they did and boy did they hit the Joe jackpot. They had just restocked. The canceled Alpha wave was there, Walmart 2 packs, Mars 3 packs, whole case of single figs, Cobra Fury. They ended up getting twice the stuff for half the price. It just felt good to help some family out.

So let me get this straight...
You tricked the father into going to Ross next door in order to get some ROC stuff so that you could take his haul of POC stuff at TRU. LOL! Just kidding you there. I think it's great that the HUB is getting the kids of today into the stuff that their parents grew up on. Good for you for letting a parent know where they could find even more stuff that usually isn't found at the major retailers. That's a job well done. By the way what was in the basket?

That's awesome.
I sometimes offer to help out confused-looking parental and grandparental types in the action figure aisle, especially at Christmas. I've lost my touch, though. There were these two ladies who were looking for specific clone soldiers from "The Clone Wars" and I haven't kept up enough to know who is who and in what case assortments. It was embarrassing. :(
