ironically the part that makes him so compelling is his mystery. which disappears upon snake eyes saturation. marvel made wolverine unbearable the same way. let them be mysterious bad asses. instead they get over exposed like they are boy band barbie dolls. it kills all the cool the character has.

Hasbro's business model is to keep the toy brand relevant by oversaturating each wave of figures with familiar/popular characters for kids to recognize and want. I believe it works great but recently with the unforseen price markup on manufacturing plastics, we will start to see more of the same characters being placed in each wave just to give the appearance of a complete set. So Snake Eyes is now a pest, I think they should just not make another one for a while and make their waves of Joes to consist of lesser figures, maybe 4-5, which would all be good sellers. We've given HASBRO our list of desired figures through the Q &A sessions, they know what we want!!!
They just killed the RoC line by not being inventive with each iteration of popular characters. Snake Eyes is a seller and Hasbro is well aware that the City Strike version is a hot one. So they'll most likely use the exact mold of CS SE in future assortments of playsets and vehicles for those of us who have a hard time locating one now. However, if they keep the same approach/methodology of the RoC line, we will bombarded with unnecessary Snake Eyes being placed in future waves which makes things why too mundane. We dont want a Jungle Strike Duke or another Arctic themed Snake Eyes but Hasbro is making them available for us to buy at $7.99 next year. I wonder if a new headsculpt drives the manufacturing price up as much as webgear and accessories. From the upcoming pics of the PoC line, I'm angered by the fact that Duke and Snake Eyes are coming three more times with new webgear and accessories. With a new headsculpt and tweaking of other existing molding there are newer characters to fit in a line. I can't understand Hasbro's deal with not opening it up to fit a more diverse cast but to them the more of the same the merrier. In addition, the new 3.75" Spiderman toyline is going to sink HARD in retail. Each wave mostly consists of the same Spiderman mold with different accessories. Besides Venom, Rhino and Doc Ock there are at least 16 Spiderman figures that are being used in waves 1-3. I guess new tooling for various figures in this line would drive the price above $10 which would turn parents and collectors away from buying.

I want more Cobra Commander. Evil, cunning, ruthless. I'll take that over SE, SS, Duke whomever.

As an avid Snake eyes lover, I agree with Troy. Snake eyes is best as commando, barely seen, hardly used.

yes, he is so overdone that every time Hasbro releases a figure it disappears faster than any other character. what was the most anticipated figure this year? City Strike who? Not Duke, not Claymore, that's right, you guessed it, Snake Eyes.
