I will say that after checking out the RoC filecards I was a little let down. At first I thought it was just a case of seeing my past through rose colored glasses, but they really aren't anywhere near as cool, or informative. If they wanted to save money on ink, but still give you cool character bio's they should have had an internet tie in.
Like give the card they do now with the snippet, but make the number under tha barcode and actual code to access the character's full bio page at GIJoe.com, or something. I think kids these days would find that really cool, and it's alot easier to update the website with current info on the Joes as new movies, cartoons, and comics come out. Hasbro could have really went all out with the media tie-in for the toys, and brought Joe into the next century. Shame really. -13 |

Not a big fan of either. I agree with Rocky. They call it a "FILE CARD" because it looks like its a file on the particular charicter. Now that I think of it, I cant stand ANY aspect of the RoC Packaging. What ever happened to a simple peal off bubble? I JUST a few figures ago figured out how to open that P.O.S. without damaging the file card. Hey, I dont like em, but I AM a completist when it comes to collecting. Gotta have em.

^Hit the nail on the head with the bubble. Why does ROC packing have to be so much more difficult to deal with than the packing for the last 25 years?

New filecards BLOW. I collected the 25th cards. RoC packages I just toss (after putting the rocket launchers in a ziploc bag, never to be used.

I've had that happen too. Has anybody tried to decipher what the filecard barcode data says?
