The old Joe and Star Wars cards used to have a decent list of the other characters that you could collect and you could use this as a way to tell what you were missing and what to ask your parent for.
The trend now is to limit this to just the figures found in that particular wave rather than list most or all of the collection. My question is this: In today's world where information is at your finger tips, would these checklists still be valuable or are they obsolete? |

I still find them to be of value because not all online sites post pictures of all the figures coming out for the year

I miss them... They aren't much value to an internet junkie adult buyer, but i'm sure they would still help kids know what is coming out...

I miss them, I used to love looking on the backs and seeing all the pictures when I was a kid.
Star Wars was the best, the card backs had all the figures they had ever made. |

i miss them. as a kid, i used to love looking at the blacked out characters and let my mind run wild as to what the character would be like. i also loved the commercial inserts that showed what the toyline had to offer up for that year. its just fun stuff, may not be as applicable today as it was then but its still fun.

It would be nice to have them again but they would have to be organized wave-by-wave. There are way too many figures to put on one card back, unless it was poster size (hint, hint).

Internet or not, I prefer having it to hand when I just flip the card over, rather than having to pull out my laptop every time.
