I don't buy multiples of things so others cant have them. I buy multiples of things because I want more than one.I buy them at my expense being that I am the one paying for them. How can someone buy something at anothers expense? I think whiners are the worst always complaining about ,scalpers ,hoarders, repackers ect...yeah it sucks you cant find the toy someone else found, boo hoo it is life, its not fair deal with it or put yourself out of your misery.

B is an entirely different animal. There is no reason Wal-greens has to charge such an absurd amount for these figures. If you buy something from them (CS Snake-Eyes seems to be the martyr here! haha)and then return something to them that you bought cheaper somewhere else. That's THEIR problem for not having a better inventory system/return policy. I tried to do this at Meijer recently and could not. They have a scan system in place that protects them from this. This is NOT stealing. Essentially, you gave them $10.99 for an item and they gave you back $10.99 for a different item that they would charge you the same for. You've given them the opportunity to make their money back. Basically you've chosen your price for what you wanted. In a way, it's sort of like priceline.com! haha. Ok, maybe not... But it's NOT stealing!
also, if the return policy states you must return the same item you purchased, and you return a different one, you dishonestly misrepresenting the product - you are committing fraud. sure, it isn't insider trading fraud, but it is fraud nonetheless. just because their system allows the loophole for you to take advantage of doesn't eliminate one's responsibility of their own actions. |

Are you saying that the conclusion life is not fair is ridiculous? I would say that it is ridiculous to say life is fair. Are you also describing army building to be a ridiculous mentality ? One could also argue that grown men and women buying toys for their collection ,or to dismantle them and rearrange the parts into another toy ,only to show off their latest acquisition/creation on the internet is also ridiculous . To each his(or her) own.

repackers are the worst, because they are not only thieves, they are cowards. unlike a plain thief who isn't afraid to steal the toy in store and risk getting caught, the repacker goes all the way home, takes him time to carefully open and reseal it, then drive all the way back to the store and return it, just to save a few dollars and the risk of getting caught.
at least a shoplifter has some balls, but a repacker is a thief and a pussy. well done, your mother is very proud of you, she raised a thief and a coward. who are we kidding, only a real POS could breed a lowlife repacker anyway, so their mother's are garbage too.

Repackers and thieves are 2 sides to the same coin. However, with a repacker...anyone who goes through all the steps of buying, taking home, unpacking, repacking, returning...anyone that can spend that much time and be that methodical over something like this...is the biggest scumbag.

I don't need 5 CSSE, but I do need my 50+ CGs .I know when I go out to purchase something I dont really think about the next person who might walk down the aisle. I dont think there is anything wrong with me buying what I want because I work to have money so I can do just that.I am not trying to rip anyone off by buying things and opening them repackaging them with different merchandise then returning them.I just think you original comment of collectors being the worse than repackers ridiculous.

Fair point, BUT you KNOW that if Target and Wal-Mart can suddenly drop their prices by $2.00, they were already charging more than they need to. CVS and Wal-greens are most likely doing the same. True, that's just business. ALSO, ALDI is MUCH smaller than CVS or Walgreens, pays their employees more money and STILL only charges a modest $6.99 per Joe. On the other hand, like you said, those stores only carry Joes around the Holidays and not the rest of the year. Basically, they do it to try and make a quick buck. My thought is, if they wanna get into the retail battle that is holiday consumerism, they've gotta expect to take a punch here and there. Also, Walgreens/CVS know numbers, not characters. They're charging you $10.99 because it's G.I.Joe, not because it's City Strike Snake-Eyes, so if we give them a Neo-Viper to sell at $10.99 (a NEW one, NOT one in Snake Eyes packaging) I don't think there's anything ethically wrong being done there. This is kind of a fun debate! haha
