i wouldn't think it would take much time or labor for them to switch colors on a piece they had already planned for production.
So it seems possible to me. I think a red and black combo is a no-brainer, since it always looks cool, but these are really similar with very close color placement, even the knees. I'd say even if it is a coincidence, it's cool that you beat them to it. If they swiped it, thanks! I could have ended up with some lime green monstosity.

That is very true. I wanted to buy a Iron Hammer to refit as a ME/25th compatible vehicle but once i saw they where already planning it I stopped. I do think they took that ideal from us the fans.

Yeah, they do. I had a Cobra dog trooper I made, and someone else had a Jungle Viper and you had the SNAKE armor. When Hasbro introduced Night Adder and the upcoming Jungle Viper, they had been given a new look, but the idea was taken well after 6 months after they had been unveiled here by us. Yours was easy enough to do and required a different paint job.
I wish Hasbro saw the Paris Pursuit Scarlett and made that one too! |

do I think they actively search for customs to take the ideas from? no. but if they stumble across a custom that works perfectly and can be easily made by just swapping already existing pieces or with just an additional amount of work, do I think they use it? absolutely.
Hasbro clearly ripped off Alyosha's new sculpt Interrogator figure for the DTC 6 pack. his figure was a great update but didn't look much like the original at all, so for two people to have the exact same random idea for the exact same random character is just too much of a coincidence to believe. |

That's pretty cool, Sam. Someone had to be looking at your work. They're identical! At least there is hope that somone at Hasbro is paying attention.

i think if they did then we would have some better figures out from them.and we would see what the fans really want, not more dukes,snake-eyes,and cobra commanders.

To be fair, I believe that the Iron Hammer was originally designed for 3 3/4" figures in the DTC "Robot Rebellion" line but when that line was cancelled, they used it (and many more designs) for Sigma 6

I believe they do look at the customs here and on other sites. I bet they are reading this thread right now. LOL
