I mean, a collector isn't going to buy a repack. He/she will recognize it for what it is. A child is also likely to recognize that some old VvV pegwarmer is NOT City Strike Snake-Eyes. Parents and family, however, won't know. The only thing that's going to stop the practice is stores stop accepting returns on "collectible" toys, period.

I have never seen a repacked Joe, maybe some other stuff long ago.
I do remember the end of the RAH vehicle drivers rattling around behind thin plastic in the box corner. Maybe it was where I lived as a kid, but those would be constantly torn out and gone. |

OR, they could just tell employees to look at the damn box to see if it's the same toy in the pictures. Or ask another employee who collects toys about it.

People who re-pack are skum! I"ll make sure 2 bust their face when I come across them. Their medical bill will cost more than buying the fig itself. Good lookin out true JOES.

Tried to return carded Star Wars figures once like 10 years ago to TRU, they actually told me they didnt return collectibles. They did when my friend grabbed them and was willing to be a bit of a dildo. |

I think about a little kid getting something from grandma for his birthday and then realizing what he got isn't what it's supposed to be and being upset and grandma feels horrible, not knowing what she did wrong.
