There are 4 hours of audio. The press release about the new head of the TV station does say that:
"Hasbro Studios president Stephen J. Davis said, “Kathy comes to Hasbro Studios with a solid track record as a top producer and has been closely involved with some of television’s most successful and enduring franchises. The Studio is establishing itself as a home for great talent – and Kathy’s vision and creativity complements the talented group of professionals we have been putting in place here.” Hasbro Studios’ productions will feed the new television network created by the joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications (NASDAQ: DISCA, DISCB, DISCK), that is planned to debut Fall 2010. New programming is planned based on iconic Hasbro brands such as ROMPER ROOM, TRIVIAL PURSUIT, SCRABBLE, CRANIUM, MY LITTLE PONY, G.I. JOE, GAME OF LIFE, TONKA and TRANSFORMERS, among many others. In addition, the “virtual” studio will produce programs from top third party content creators. Many of these shows will run on multiple channels in international and domestic markets." more here: Hasbro : Investor Relations : Press Release= |

From what I've gleaned by googling "Hasbro investor Day 2009" there was very little talk about G.I. Joe, or perhaps simply nothing that was "new" news.
The only animated series that was confirmed was a "My Little Pony" series for the Hasbro/DK network. There was a hint dropped about a possible Transformers 'toon, but it was not officially announced or confirmed (basically it was said that the screenwriters of Transformers and Transformers two were working on something for Hasbro). Apparently the relaunch of Micronauts was the "big news" for the day, I've seen absolutely no information on G.I. Joe in the few sites I've gleaned so far. As a side note, they did announce that next year's theme for Transformers would be "The Hunt For The Decepticons." |

Okay, I'm at 56:52 of 1:53:11 minutes of Audio.
So far Goldner spoke, just a bunch of buzz words...reinventing brands. They also had their marketing guys talk about 2010 plans: The board game aspect of Hasbro has been talked about more than anything. There are movies in the works for Candyland, Risk, Clue, and Monopoly (with Ridly Scott attached). In the section about 2010 marketing strategies they mentioned everything but G.I. Joe- they said their new major focus next year will be Bayblade. Other Hasbro related movies in the works are Spiderman 4, Thor, Captain America: 1st Avenger, Battleship, and Stretch Armstrong (written by Bob Odenkirk). Not too much love for Joe so far. |
