what he said lol. Nah, Joes didn't influence me to do anything except expand my imagination. I never really liked GI Joe even as a kid, I was all for Cobra. But it was just a cartoon and toys to me, no further influence.

Why would you knock any inspiration to join the service. I served with the biggest redneck sons of b&tches who's only inpiration for joining up was to get into the Army to shoot big guns and kill people....Personally I'd rather serve with someone who liked Snake-eyes and Flint than with someone who's life long ambition was to kill "towel-heads".

Yeah, g.i.joe influenced me to have a strong affinity for all things military. I guess I always expected to join the military, talked to the recruiters intentionally (I drove an hour to initiate contact with them in more than one period of my life), even after I got a college degree. It's kinda strange that I never joined, it was always in the background. Influence? Come on, were thirty-something guys who were so influenced, we're still buying the toys and loving the stuff.

I'm actually more influenced by Flint's filecard, where it says he is a Rhodes Scholar.

I was always a fan of the military ever since original Gi Joe and reading SGT Rock. I joined the military after high school but didnt think I was in for the Joe experience, it was just a regular day to day experience. Joe to me has always been about heroes and persevering over adversity.

I took a bunch of classic Joe Issues with me to Iraq.
It didn't really influence me in any way.

I've flirted with the millitary for years, even was nominated to west point but didn't go (darn highschool sweet heart) But i'm currently on my way to get a degree in Divinity, that's always been my two loves in life, God and the millitary. Right now my plan is when i'm done signing up as a Chaplain! (something the Joes needed!)
