But seriously, when are these "scalpers" around? even more so, how do I catch one? Tackle him/her? Yelling & making loud noises? Tell me... |

People love to hate things that they can't control. Makes them feel like they're taking back a little of the lost power. Fortunately, this one's still lighthearted for now.

To go even further with this scalper absurdity; saying you've seen a couple of 45 yr old men (an estimate I'm sure) hovering around a toy aisle doesn't imply anything other than two older guys were browsing the toy aisle, right? I guess the same could be said of most of us; "I just saw a 31-35 yr old cruising the toy aisle, hovering in front of the GI Joes with drool coming off his chin. Ewww, how gross!!" Point is, to someone all of we 'grown ups' are probably potential scalpers taking toys from their children or some such crap. |

I... I suppose... maybe? Wait, what?
I guess what I'm saying is that it's easy to blame a scalper when you drive all the way to [store of choice] only to find bare pegs or unwanted left overs... Three days in a row. It's an easy write off to frustration and disappointment. Bad things like low production, lousy distribution and lots of hording fans living in one area can't possibly be the answer... nope, must be a scalper. DarthBrett's right, as has been pointed out again and again, unless someone blantantly tells you he's scalping, you can't be certain. And even then you shouldn't really resort to vigilante action. |

Interesting point.
We all are a lot older than kids. I sometimes feel guilty that I am 19 years old and collecting a toy line that is aimed for 9 year olds. I just apretiate a good figure. Hopefully other collectors do not mistake me for a hairy scalper. I am very tall and have black fur, if you will, so... PLEASE DO NOT CATCH ME WITH YOUR TRAPS.

if you think that these figures are aimed, or were aimed at their inception, at 9 year olds, you're way off. |
