It's interesting that there are more people who like the comic book best, but the cartoon-based figures seem to catch the most fans.

I love them both and combine elements of Marvel and Sunbow into my own Joe-Verse, with my own little twists.

The cartoons are so much more fun to me. The comics were too word heavy and slow moving.

Only ever knew the Cartoon, and love every juicy campy bit of it! It along with Transformers, Robotech, Voltron, He-Man, & Dungeons & Dragons etc. just take me back to a time when my biggest concern was "Will my Mom buy me that this weekend?"

I'm a fan of the toys. I'm beholden to no cartoon or comic interpretation.

Marvel comic book as I've only got the odd issue or two of the IDW run. (I'm only missing about 20 or so from the Marvel run)
Comic, Ehhh. It was oriented toward a younger audience. I would watch it sure, but would cringe when other kids would try to work elements of the cartoon into anything with the figures. Sigma 6: I lasted 10 seconds into the first episode. Nuff said. |
