From what I understand, that KO Juggernaut was better than Hasbro's BAF. So you never know. That said, even though I think it's a bit too big, the new Juggy looks to dominate that (though I think it's a little too big - perfect for a Marvel v Capcom representation, but not so much a comic version).

Dusty is one of my favorite characters but I hate that his helmet doesn?t fit and that the stock on his rifle is too long. The rifle is a bit rubbery so when he holds it with two hands it always bends.

You've got to be kidding. G.I. Joe was everywhere & on everything back in the ARAH days, an adult collector's line doesn't even scratch the surface of what ARAH did. |

And with cracking elbows and deteriorating O-rings, it's already a hassle to maintain, today, let alone a decade from now. I can understand why newer generations aren't really jumping on board the vintage ARAH train.

^What does that have to do with sales performance? Which is what I was actually siting. Not the actual products longevity. I collect Classified too & FYI I am also a 10 year former HissTank Mod who's collected from ARAH until now. You could find a gazillion Joes in the store aisles in ARAH days, today you are lucky to find any Classified in Brick & Mortar store, there is no comparison in the performance of product sales.

As to your edit, there are important aspects you're blatantly ignoring. There's no more KB Toys. There's no more TRU. So looking at that, it was even hard back then to find Joes at Woolsworth's or Wallgreen's. The big box toy stores are largely gone. So in modern context, not only would you have to have sales records for then, and every online retailer for now, but you'd also have to adjust for inflation, and even then, you'd still be missing the "in 10 years" aspect of his post.

"Bunch my undies?"
Until you see Classified with a media compliment (like a cartoon, movie), or slapped on stickers, lunchboxes, t-shirts, & occupy 1/2 an aisle at a toy store it's like comparing apples to oranges. Hypothetical or not, believing Classified is going to surpass or even match what ARAH did in sales is mute. I'm not some kind of ARAH defender either, it's just not reasonable to think Classified will ever see the kind of success that ARAH did. It's a different era for what kids want then and now. I hope you do appreciate "the flex." ![]() |

There's more time to go and they'll probably be remembered more for how it ends than how it began, but I hope that we remember their contribution positively. Turning peg-warmers into hits has been one of their biggest accomplishments. Making a Snake Eyes that sells to GI Joe fans should be easy. Doing the same thing with Crystal Ball, not so much.
I don't dislike him, but I do think of him as a little bit of a missed opportunity since he's more ARAH-upscale than update or re-imagining. I wonder how differently some of the earlier waves could have been if they were less cautious about some design decisions. |

No toy line is like ARAH was or other lines were like back then. It's a different age of collecting now.
NAM said everything I was thinking lol But as a modern line, Classified definitely could be seen as being just as popular (for its time) if it lasts another 4-5 years.
