I want to upgrade my Whale and I?m looking at a better one for a pretty nice price but the arm for the missle box is broken. The whale I have now has two good arms. Does anyone know if that piece can be removed and swapped? Any idea how hard it is? I?m not very crafty and I am very clumsy. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

It can be done, however the "mushroom" on that piece is really hard to back out without breaking one of the halves off. That's going to be a risky maneuver.
If you're going to try it I recommend pushing it out from inside the driver's area rather than trying to pull it from the outside. The tabs that make up the mushroom are long, thin, and easy to break off.

I resisted buying a WHALE due to all the fragile parts but 3D printing saved the day. Lots of sellers who produce the fans, vanes, missile boxes and arms. |

I very highly doubt it. Like Dusty said, it's a harder plastic and is not the type that softens before being melted/burnt.

Have you been able to restore all the fragile parts w/ 3d printed parts? This is what has kept me from restoring a WHALE myself.
