I love how we first see the JOEs in this homage to the flag raising on Iowa Jima. If were to do a JOE movie. The opening scene would be the monologue from the theme song on a black background ground.

"G.I. JOE is the code name for America's daring highly trained special mission force. It's purpose, to defend human freedom against COBRA, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world."

Cut to the JOEs in pitch battle against COBRA. After the JOEs have suppressed COBRA cut to the live action recreation of the splash page to issue #1.


Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time we saw the YO JOE! fist pump? One day, I'm going to take all of my JOEs to Ft. Wadsworth and pose them giving the YO JOE! fist pump on top of the Fort Wadsworth sign. Random piece of G.I. JOE trivia that might win you a prize at a G.I. JOE trivia contest. G.H. is the only character to appear in the title sequence of every season of the cartoon and the movie.



The World's Without End is why there needs to be an Adventure Team cartoon. Since the Adventure Team would be going on adventures one of those adventures would include exploring the JOE multiverse and the Adventure Team ends up on this world where COBRA won. So much to explore there. Anyway, this was pretty dark and I'm surprised it got past the censors.
