I've put a little thought into a series or comic that would have longer arcs. One of those is a Fred based in Ohio rising up through local politics and running for President. The nice thing about an "oh no the government has turned against us" storyline too is it provides a decent use-case for the Renegades. The Joes are on the books, at least as far as the Pentagon is concerned, so they're harder to hide in the federal budget, but I like to think of Sarge's crew as being hidden. Maybe Hawk had the foresight to budget for them under a "Maintenance" line item, so when President Fred acts to start taking them down, the Renegades are able to act to expose the scheme because they're already under the radar.

The issues I see with that, with so many "Fred" Series CeeGees, and something as high profile as a political office, it wouldnt work like if he was just a lawyer that can be swapped in and out if one gets killed.

Interesting idea with the Renegades.....my cannon, I have them, the Marauders and the Roughnecks all as one sub unit. Not so much as a black bag off the books team, but Slaughter and Smasher train them with Falcon as the XO.
