When I first saw the render, the thing that stood out were the tires. I just love the huge knobs on those babies. Reminds me of the days as a kid pushing the big monster trucks through the sand. To be honest, I never quite loved the original AWE design because it was a little too simple, although sometimes I like simple. Take the APC for example. It's just a troop transport with a cannon on top but I love that thing and still do.

But the extra weapons and seats just makes this a more appealing vehicle. They upgraded the HISS with an interior compartment and additional weapons. They upgraded the Rattler to a degree. They added some stuff to the VAMP. I think these changes are modest and mostly in spirit with the original stuff and I'll be happy to get one. In fact, if they do a desert version, I'll be down for one of those too.

Well said and agree. The hiss needed a compartment for sure, and the results on these vehicles are still awesome.

Classified isn't supposed to be 1:1 to the classic o-ring line, honestly I think it's cool to have three seats plus room to hang more figures off the side.

Plus, you can remove the third seat, if you want, so it's really a moot point.

true, though devils advocate there; it doesnt then give you the big canon in exchange, so its still less "accurate"

Again, it dosnt bother me, but the point could be made.

You know as a kid with the AWE I stuck a gun onto the passenger side camera thing. I forget whose, but I definitely had a machine gun stuck on there.

I asked Gridiron if they were planning to fix some of the missing issues with the AWE striker, namely the large cannon and they basically said yes, so if the 3rd seat is removable and gridiron has plans to fix the missing cannon, i might be back in on getting this,
