The ARAH comics had ?GI Joe classified file? pages highlighting one of the characters. Here?s one with Breaker:
![]() You can see a unique plane above him. This is truly from the illustrator?s imagination and corresponds to no real aircraft. It is a cool design though. Another version of this that I like even better is in Stalker?s classified file: ![]() I really love this art of Stalker flying up with the fighter jets. https://militarymatters.online/forgo...-that-couldnt/

The unique plane reminds me of the Rockwell XFV-12 just with with wingtip extensions.
https://militarymatters.online/forgo...-that-couldnt/ The next issue, titled ?Darkness?, doesn?t feature any new or unique aircraft. In fact, quite the opposite - the dreadnocks cut apart some sky-strikers. ![]() |

The next issue, titled ?Shakedown,? is one of my favorites. The whole issue is a one-on-one dogfight between Ace in the Skystriker and Wild Weasel in the Rattler. The set up is that each pilot is taking their plane up to test out some new equipment, and they accidentally run into each other. Lady Jaye and the Baroness are the back-seaters and contribute to the fight, but this is ultimately a test of flying and fighting skills, pilot vs pilot.
The art in this issue is great, and both planes are drawn realistically. ![]() ![]() The Skystriker is of course based on the F-14 Tomcat: ![]() The Rattler is a modified A-10: ![]() The only other aircraft in the issue is a 747, which Ace and Lady Jaye have to avoid. ![]() ![]() The aerial combat scenes are so well drawn and keep you glued to the page while reading. ![]() I really recommend you go back a read this whole issue. You won?t be disappointed. The dogfight ends in a draw - both pilots have taken damage, but have survived due to their skill and courage. They are both out of missiles and bullets, so on their last head-on pass, they simply salute each other. Well done, Mr. Hama and crew. ![]() |

Wild Weasel is a hell of a pilot, to go one-on-one with an F-14 in an A-10 and end in a draw.

Shakedown was reprinted in AF weekly #3 and #4, alongside a UK original story. I *love* that story and it's why I own the Skystriker and Rattler.

In the next issue, ?Dreadnocks on the loose,? the dreadnocks take Zartan?s hologram-projecting bike for a joy ride and cause a lot of mayhem. They break into an unnamed air force base and start destroying planes.
![]() ![]() These are F-15?s one of the great air superiority fighters of all time. ![]() The dreadnocks escape into this strange cargo helicopter with clamshell doors. ![]() ![]() This is a really interesting one. It is a real aircraft. It?s the CH-37 Mohave. ![]() ![]() Once again, the attention to detail in the aircraft portrayed is impressive. |
