Those are two words that don't belong in the same sentence, at least as far as her original design. I'd veer closer to comic bookie, secret agent woman.
ARAH drew from law enforcement and other tangental organizations. It's all 'Government Issue' in the end. Last edited by AWOL; 07-28-2024 at 01:48 PM.. |

Agreed and none of those are particularly popular. The ones who tend to be most popular are the usual suspects with some ability to look quasi-military like Roadblock, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Shipwreck, Torpedo, etc... Basically, ones that have appeared in the classified line.
I will reserve any additional judgement but at first glance, it looks pretty lame.

Quick kick is really a dumb character. Bazooka is meh but Chuckles is actually ok. He is an Army CID Special Agent who is in the military (they also have civilian agent) but they don't generally wear uniforms and if he is undercover or working investigations, he is generally gonna be plain clothes and blend into the community. He also wouldn't display his rank because as a military person, if he has to investigate a general, there can be no undue influence as a result of rank so when he would introduce himself it would never be I am SGT Johnson, because now any higher ranking person could indirectly color the investigation. He would introduce himself as Special Agent Johnson and now the subject of the investigation has no idea if he is cvilian or military and only knows he is a federal agent and no undue influence occurs.

I don't hate the design of this Risk guy. The mash-up of suit and tie with Western ammo belt and reasonably preposterous pump-action rifle and a plate carrier are fun. He feels like he's willing to be a fashion disaster.
The thing I don't like are his mannerisms. The casual posture, cocked eyebrow, and especially that odd way he's holding his rifle over his shoulder (makes me feel the artist has never held a rifle before) make him feel like I won't like the character's personality. The design I truly hate is Baroness' armor.

Looks like he was inspired by the Kingsman: The Golden Circle movie.

I just saw this article and it genuinely seems like GI Joe could really benefit from someone on satff who actually could help with character development because this seems honestly kind of lame....
