on the other hand it'd be just as weird as like, if snake eyes was made into a ghostbuster or ninja turtle, and going into those communities to check out what they have to say for any insight on why hasbro decided to make them at all and coming up with nothing; and we're over here chatting up a storm about ghostbuster snake eyes.
(well, except me, because i hate snake eyes, but he's likely the one to cross over first because) im not so picky because i like o-ring construction and i understand they're not going to be super detailed (even though it's totally possible today to do such a thing thanks to 3d modeling and printing). hell, that we get any o-ring figures at all anymore from anyone is pretty neat. THey remind me of the old ERTL Dukes of Hazzard figures that I used to have when I was a little kid in the 1980s

I just saw that Hasbro is making O-ring style Ghostbusters toys. They look just like ARAH Gi Joe figures. They're also making the Ecto 1 car in the same scale. It's a shame they're making O-rings of other IPs but not Gi Joe (I think Hasbro is only making the Transformers crossover O-rings). What do folks think? Part of me wants to get them but part of me isn't really interested.

They do give off the vibe of the CHiPs figures I had as a youngster. Quaint yet ahead of their time in the design and articulation department.

I've been vaguely aware of these being revealed for the past week or so, but hadn't bothered to check for details (Transformers stuff took more of my time). I am interested in at least getting the 4-pack and hope they get recolored into GB2 uniforms (both tan and grey suits!). Now if only we can get another try at the A-Team (1980s version, not that awful "movie").... Yes, I know there were A-Team figures back in the 80s and they were forgettable then.

I'm still really looking forward to these. I am super excited and hope these turn out wonderful!
but... Looking at these, a 4-pack of very similar figures with mostly shared parts...and I wonder why Hasbro didn't at least TRY a Joe 4-pack using mostly parts they already had from the 40th anniversary line. A $44 pack of Hawk, Grunt, Short Fuze, and Zap (2 new heads, 1 new torso using their Stalker as a base) would be a welcome addition to MY collection. Most of the accessories have already been produced too. Now that Super7 is doing O-rings, I doubt any such project would be made, even though Hasbro would probably make a bigger profit per unit. |

I bet we get singles of these as the cartoon repaints, with ghosts. Probably some kind of Ghostbusters II repaints too. I don't think I'd get anything from the new movies. I'm kind of annoyed they even exist, frankly. Quote:

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Super7 o-rings go. I am VERY optimistic - Super7 seems to have struggled a bit with the Joe brand, but their heart is very much in the right place! I think we're going to see some pretty awesome stuff now that they have *the* classic RAH format to work with, instead of Kenner SW-style figs, which are neat in their own right but kind of opposite to what RAH was always about, or the Ultimates, which were amazing figures but hard to compete with Classified going on right at the same time. What with that, and these Ghostbusters figs undoubtedly being a hit, we may have an o-ring Renaissance on our hands...
