If GI Joe gets licensed out...would be sorta fitting for Boss Fight to take over and do 4" figures since they pretty much did the run of the Modern Era figs.

I?d like to see different styles from different concept artists myself. Open up pandoras box and in a perform world expand the universe. Get away from everything and everyone old except the homage itself.

The toy business as we?ve known it is coming to an end. Board games are obsolete and are simply relics of habit and familiarity but will be a category that is gone as a mass opportunity in the next 20 years. Hyper articulated action figures, as well, will be a niche, collector product as well and not a driver for a toy company trying to sell a lot of product.

On a more serious note: Hasbro getting out of the toy business is the kind of long-term move that I'm pretty sure they would be legally required to let their shareholders know about.
So unless they're planning on getting their pants sued off, no, they're not getting out of the toy business, much less anytime soon, barring some sort of (unlikely) complete collapse of the industry. |

I would expect for their layoffs to be more focused if that were the case. It sounds like they cut across the board, not specifically in toy-related positions. They may have fewer offerings in 2024, but as long as there's more profit in producing lines like GI Joe and Transformers in-house than there in in outsourcing 100% of the production to third parties then they'll keep that work in-house.
