Ouch, this isn't good at all. It's never good when you're seeing Ollie's and Ross stocking loads of Hasbro Product. We all celebrate because we're getting a steep discount, but it's not a good sign for the company. And cheery too for news of layoffs to break right around Christmas. |

It everyone's fault for not doing their part and buying up all the Shuri Copters, Admiral Holdos and Eternals figures.

Not sure what else there is to say about Hasbro. Some of this isn't their fault (economy, Disney) but most of it is (lower quality, higher prices, stupid decisions with WOTC, not actually wanting to make toys anymore).
Every other Joe I get has bent accessories-including my HISS Tank figures-and it's getting harder and harder to justify these purchases. |

With each year that passes, the less I'd care if Hasbro went completely under. They've really pissed me off in the last few years.

We're going to see a lot more of this.

If any of them have experience running a successful GI Joe crowdfunding campaign, Super7 should hire them.

This is mostly due to their games division... their action figure lines make up a really small percentage of their overall revenue. If they're screwing up Magic: the Gathering, they're going to feel it more than with Black Series, Legends, or Classified.

If you read the MTG reddit, they called it way ahead of time.
https://old.reddit.com/r/mtgfinance/...eally_keeping/ And their reaction is yup. Hasbro, Fuck around find out. https://old.reddit.com/r/mtg/comment..._1000_layoffs/ The Total amount fired is 2,800. It's approaching the 3,000 mark. Ah yes Hasbro, following a Mckinsey cost cutting Powerpoint into the grave. xxxxxxxxxxxx Employee firing numbers over time Xxxxxxxxxx But yea, let's number crunch how many workers Hasbro fired from Dec 2022 to the planned Dec 2023 firings. Last December. Dec 11 (Reuters) - Hasbro (HAS.O) said on Monday it would cut another 900 jobs globally, nearly a year after the toymaker announced it would reduce 15% of its workforce amid weaker sales. Hasbro had said in January it would cut about 1,000 full-time positions. On Monday, the company said it had already cut 800 jobs So they fired, 1,000. Then they fired 800. So 1,800 fired in December 2022 to January 2023. Now Today they announced they fired another 20% so Another 1,000 employees. Total is 1,800 +1,000= 2,800. Oh, and Hasbro is again, firing before and during Christmas. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx I can't say how much I hate Chris Cocks or he managed to go from Magic and Wizards division to infect the entire company with his top 20% income failure management style. (And yes, a lot of the Magic community despises Cocks btw. . . ) ****More Examples below. https://old.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/co...100_employees/ https://old.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/co...rkforce_warns/ https://old.reddit.com/r/freemagic/c..._layoffs_from/ https://old.reddit.com/r/mtg/comment...eak_toy_sales/ Honestly can't, think of how insane Chris failure is Cocking it up. Even the Marvel Legends guys can't stay positive anymore. https://old.reddit.com/r/MarvelLegen...100_employees/
