Agreed. Here's a thought, Cobra promotes one of the Cobra troopers to be a Colonel and and he becoes his own named character and there is in-fighting because he wants to control and decides he is going to take some of the troopers and officers and start his own terror or so now the Joes have 2 terrors orgs to deal with like AQ and Hezbollah...

Sprinkle in some new Cobra characters, some new characters for the new org (I already have an idea what is would be called and structured) throw in some new Joes, egt away from the ninja BS, make Snake Eyes a Commando again, bring in some other high speed low drag Joes, leave Transformers for a different reader and drill down on these new enemoes causing all kinds of havoc, fomenting civil wars, proliferating new weapons, drill down on espionage with Extensive Enterprises as a private intelligence firm, and Destro as now a supplier for both terror orgas no longer aligned with Cobra, and have the Iron Grenadiers be their own private military company like Blackwater doing dirt all over the world and now the Joes are stretched thin and shit hits the fan....

That's sad to hear. I think maybe he needs someone that can more heavily edit his writing. Unless he's just really bad at taking criticism and won't change anything.

GI Joe has a ton of potential and it's sad to see a comic like this get released.

Yeah, they do a good job of giving it a newsprint type feel, but it still making it feel like quality paper.

I liked it well enough, and ordered #302. I feel bad for everyone that was new to GI Joe and read it, just because they were dropped into the middle of a not-great storyline. I'm hoping with everyone back at the base, that they will do some sort of reset and start a less-convoluted storyline.

As others have mentioned, the art was cool IMO.

That, and there being another continuity, muddy the waters for any new potential fans.

The artwork was great to see (Helix seemed less distinguishable? and Cover Girl's hair?) but I also enjoyed Hama's writing ... and his letter. The fact he's able to still do this job after 40 years is a feat and I appreciate the feel of this issue. Not a fan of who gets credit for the Brainwave Scanner but I'll look forward to #302 and the minis.
