I think Q stuff is ridiculous, but there's some precedence of the Joe team doing hostage extraction missions in the ARAH comic. As long as this is a rescue team and not a "round up my political enemies for military tribunal" team, it can probably exist outside of the political fantasy that spawned the need for it?

In 2019 Larry Hama wrote, Netho Diaz illustrated a four-issue series called Silent Option. In it, the GiJoe team fights human traffickers who are transporting kidnapped child sex slaves.
Helix was one of these (as I described her in the original post as a reminder). Here's the link to those pages in the ARAH re-read thread: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/idw-g...along-330.html So I don't know what Qanon is, but that makes Larry Hama one of them, right? And Helix is one too. By extension, I suppose the entire GiJoe team can now be considered Qanon (in canon per Hama) since they believed that missing children were being trafficked, then they went out and saved them. What the heck is Qanon? Can someone explain that? Here are some villains Hama created for this group to fight: - Mahoud Gaz, German, arrogant, backstabbing Trucial Abysmia oil baron, male. - Ilsa Bachmann, militia leader, scary, cunning, older woman. Leader, female. - Gregory Samsa, vengeful, violent Borovian maintenance man, male. - Bruno Kurda, competitor in the trade, male In fact, in my original post I was quite specific that I wouldn't tarnish a classic ARAH villain as a pedophile. But Larry didn't feel that same way. Larry Hama goes forward and names one: Firefly is (in ARAH canon) a pedophile and slave trader. Quote:

In fact it sounds like over 200 kids were saved during this single jungle mission. That's awesome. Whatever this group is as depicted in your film has rescued 1,600+ kids from slavery. Quote:
Anyway, I looked this up and the major theater chains will apparently accept tickets purchased online from the film's own portal, but because those "pay-it-forward" (that's what they call it) tickets are not in the AMC or other theater databases until claimed by a specific person, they don't add to calculated theater attendance. Every industry-calculated theater attendance is a real butt in a seat. Does that help your math? I want to bring clarity to your observations. Lol. Okay, first time for everything I guess. Oh, I see what you did there. Anyway, do you want to take this moment to mock and shame me on the forum for being Jewish again? I've politely accepted your bigoted personal attacks on at minimum two times before. I don't hold a grudge. All I asked for was some feedback on my choices of GiJoes for an anti-slavery campaign based on their specialties. But what I'm learning is that Larry Hama is a conspiracy theorist and he is "simple" (according to DarkNess). Also there seems to be a very personal, emotional bias against intervening in the child sex slave industry. Can someone explain that? The Joes that Larry chose for this mission were: Dawn Moreno Snake-Eyes, Bombstrike, Alpine, Torpedo, Sean Collins Snake-Eyes. The transport team was: Cutter, Deep-Six. Quote:
So... what's the difference? Your guy's movie sounds like a live-action Silent Option except not fiction.

This thread is about which GiJoes would be good for these sorts of missions.
Can you improve on Larry's team selection? Uh, one of the last times you called me "Jesus James," so... This is always a uni-directional kind of crazy bro. Why are you always attacking me personally? This time it is because of an in-canon storyline. Unreal.

Helix was one of these (as I described her in the original post as a reminder). Here's the link to those pages in the ARAH re-read thread: https://www.hisstank.com/forum/idw-g...along-330.html ... In fact, in my original post I was quite specific that I wouldn't tarnish a classic ARAH villain as a pedophile. But Larry didn't feel that same way. Larry Hama goes forward and names one: Firefly is (in ARAH canon) a pedophile and slave trader. ... The Joes that Larry chose for this mission were: Dawn Moreno Snake-Eyes, Bombstrike, Alpine, Torpedo, Sean Collins Snake-Eyes. The transport team was: Cutter, Deep-Six. Hama chose Cutter. I do agree that Bullet-Proof and Cutter are the most logical choices for law enforcement operations against human traffickers, but that is not what Larry Hama did with the story. Instead, Cutter was just a mundane hovercraft pilot to transport the team to an offshore oil platform. Maybe the reason that only the Silent Option story arc dealt with human traffickers is NOT because G.I. Joe was altering their mission profile to combat human traffickers... it was because they wanted to retrieve a missing member (Helix) that went rogue. (John Rambo syndrome maybe?) I remember that Larry Hama wrote that Hawk had once previously sent Snake Eyes on a murderous mission to save one special child (who grows up to become Helix) from some traffickers because Hawk had a hunch that there was something special about her. Hawk decides to secretly/illegally nurture her abilities to discover her true potential, or some sort of nonsense like that for her origin story. Certainly not a sample of Larry Hama's finest writing there, was it? In the years prior to and after the Silent Option story arc, the G.I. Joe team left that important function of law enforcement to HSI and did not do any more Silent Option styled adventures again. Hawk did not abduct anymore children that we know of. (I'm kidding, of course)
