Hey folks,
I have been thinking about this for awhile, as I'm a diorama builder, and I like to make scenes with my Joes more than just collect figures. I've had to go into some really old lines that had generic people in them just to fill out my scenes, and I'm considering buying some Fisher Price Adventure People just to get some context for what the Joes/Cobras are fighting over. There were a few available back in the day from Ertl, but what I'd really like are some O-ring townspeople. You know, people I can use to fill out scenes, mob the Joes in one of Cobra's mind control schemes or whatever. People caught in the crossfire. Hostages. That sort of thing! Would you buy a line of O-ring regular people? Even just a few?

I went with "no", mostly due to the fact that I'm next to out of space for official o-ring stuff as it is. If something changes, I'd be all over that though, as I'm also a dio guy at heart.
Got any pics of your dios?

Looks pretty good. Most of my stuff was big battle scenes, although I don't have any pics left, outside of an old post of my first build on a former account somewhere around here.

I wanted pedestrians so badly when I was a kid for exactly the reason you stated - to give the conflicts more stakes. Back then I would have been all about it, but now between a lack of space and the likelihood that the figures would cost $20 I doubt I'd buy any.

Lanard made a couple lines of non-military o-ring figures in the early 2000s that filled this role pretty well. One had some construction workers, a firefighter, a policeman, and so forth. The other was a girl-focused line called "WOW Power!" that were mostly sporty, athletic female characters (a bicyclist, a roller skater, a skier etc.).
The latter had a nice 1:18 scale VW Beetle that came in a few different colors. Very useful for setting up civilian scenes. The Corps! Construction Wow Power Wow Action Girls The Corps! Emergency Rescue : 1999 Max Power Sets |

Personally no cause I don't do oring anymore (didn't vote).
I do understand though. I collect civilian looking marvel legends for this reason. |

I'd like some kind of Sunbow people set, or civilians from the comics
I don't have use for them now but I'm open to unusual or obscure things |
