I really want to support this line but it's hard considering the DragonFly going on right now and the fact that the figures I'm most interested in (other than Shinobi) are seemingly way out of reach at this point with the 99k needed.

If the minimal goal is hit, are their any chances of a backerkit to help with getting additional funding to unlock the full twelve (or at least some of them?)

Absolutely. The best part of our designs is that we are utilizing many of the same parts. Tooling is always the most expensive part, so once the initial goal is met, we will continue to collect through Backerkit to help unlock more figures.
