It's that time again... time to put all the top vote getters from the four polls together and see who comes out on top as the definitive figure of 1986! There was a three way tie for 10th place, so I had to pick one figure to win. Wet-Suit (v2) was easy to eliminate, since Wet-Suit (v1) was already in the poll, so it came down to Hawk (v2) and Sci-Fi and... sorry Sci-Fi fans, but I had to go with the G.I. Joe commander, here.
For this definitive poll, I had to go with the Vipers. It's one of the most iconic troop builder figures and, while I know the B.A.T. is also iconic, I prefer the Viper... humans over androids!

having never owned a V1 BAT it doesnt hold any nostalgia for me. I had V2 when i was growing up. So I will have to choose the Viper. it was always my favorite army builder.

Viper was an easy choice for me, Ive always liked army builder or faceless troops, and this was probably the biggest upgrade in the Cobra infantry forces and lead the way for every other Viper sub unit moving forward in the line.

As much as I wanted to go with Slaugter, I still think '86 was Year of the B.A.T. It just elevated the playing field with the detachable accessories you could swap out and store in his pack, and the lenticular circuitry.

V1 Python Patrol "Officer" was my guy I got first, and I was always obsessed with getting (but we couldn't afford) the regular Cobra Trooper, so Vipers just felt like a nobody to me. I was too used to Cobra Troopers as the mainstay of Joe forces, and my 3 BATs that I found in the bottom of a flea market box were his troopers.
PP Viper was "Python Patrol Cobra Commander" for me and my later regular Viper was "Reborn Cobra Commander". |

Man, this is really hard to vote on. Going to have to ponder on this for a bit before I cast my vote. Leaning towards either Serpentor, the B.A.T., Hawk, the Viper or Sgt. Slaughter.
With a Viper in your avatar and your user name, you better vote for the Viper! lol
