I grew up in San Antonio but we got the WGN Chicago station around that time. It was magical. They showed Gem, Transformers, Spiral Zone, etc.

I'm pretty sure that in the NY area, GI Joe and Transformers were both on WPIX-11.

Genius! I wish I had thought to do that! The voice acting, soundtrack, and sound effects of Transformers and GI Joe were really good for back then. Even when the animation lacked in a few spots, the voices and sounds were top notch, especially for a kid! It really drew you in!

Joe was on Channel 18 in Milwaukee. Pretty much all of the daily cartoons were on Channel 18.

WWOR was also in the mix, but I think they showed other "Saturday Morning" cartoons. |

I remember watching GI Joe in the Mid 90s on the USA Network. It came on at 6 or 630AM. I'd sneak to the basement to watch it before school, didn't want anyone know that me as an 8th grader was still watching cartoons. I can't remember the details on watching the Sunbow cartoon in the 80s although I know I did. The DIC cartoon I have a much better recollection of.
