I went with Stormie. He was the hardest to find. After watching friends get him at birthday parties I was so dejected. Then one really cool store owner hooked up my brother and I with 2 from behind the counter.
Firefly and Ripcord are a very close tie. Also very tough to find for me but found them both on a random trip to TRU one day. 84 is my favorite year for Joes. Every figure is amazing. Even the repainted Stinger Driver is a childhood favorite. Walk off home run here for Hasbro.

Mutt & Junkyard. Awesome card art and those two got a lot of play time as a kid.
Frankly they all rock. |

There's no way to choose. but I went with Firefly because who would've passed him up hanging on the pegs then?

Firefly all day, every day. Easily my favorite figure of the whole line. Ripcord is a close second. '84 was a good year for sure.

With five days left to go, this is looking like a two-man show, at the moment. Which masked icon will hold on for the victory? Firefly or Storm Shadow?

Tough, tough choice. I went Storm Shadow as he was my favourite as a kid.
Firefly, Ripcord and Scrap Iron were other firm favourites. I think Scrap Iron was my first Cobra figure, then Firefly, when Action Force transitioned from Action Force vs Red Shadows. Scrap Iron got a bit time in the Battle Action Force comic than the GI Joe comic, and I really enjoyed a story of cat and mouse with him and Roadblock. |

Storm Shadow IS GI Joe to me. Without Storm Shadow, they're just army men. Seeing that white-clad assassin in plastic form at the height of the ninja craze in the 80s was too cool for words.
Plus, his swords fit in the sheaths on his backpack. That was MIND-BLOWING to me in 1984. Star Wars and He-Man figures had nothing even close to weapon storage. That was like an evolutionary leap in action figure technology. Having said all that, Firefly is really goddamn awesome, too. Firefly would win hands down in any other year, but not against the baddest ninja of them all. |

I voted spirit over storm shadow only because I know stormshadow and snake eyes will almost assuredly win thier polls, I want to see who everyone likes besides those two.
