Some Target items will end up in the Collector Corner. A couple years ago, Maximal T-Wrecks was stocked in the collector area, not with the rest of the Kingdom Transformers. I could see some exclusives ended up there with Target.
But Walmart would DEFINITELY be an employee chucking stuff on random pegs. Here, the various McFarlane DC stuff still migrates between the collector spot and toys. |

They're not sold in my country so that could be part of it for me. :v

They're still a fairly hot product (barring the movie figures and a select couple of others that were overpacked aka Lady Jaye), but they don't get much dedicated shelf space. Most Targets around here have only two pegs for Classified. The Retro figures get twice as much shelf space as the 6" figures in the toy aisle. And Target is probably the most "Joe Friendly" big box retailer at this point, several Wal-Marts around here don't even stock the line, and this is a place with several military bases nearby so you'd think it would be a strong market.
Basically, the product is hitting shelves in a trickle, and it gets snapped up by eager collectors with a quickness. So they're hard to find in stores. Pretty easy to preorder online for most (non-exclusive) items, though. And even most exclusives aren't that bad if you're either moderately patient or mildly diligent. That doesn't help kids get into the line, though. |

China is doing covid lockdown again, and it will no doubt affect distribution and things coming out of there.
Personally, I've seen all of the new stuff pretty consistently. Perhaps you live in an area where there are several collectors?

If you're in Southwest Ohio, The Toy Department has them all. Decent prices.

Yea, the Gi Joe product just didn't show up!!!!! High Cost of freight all year meant the companies involved just made a conscious decision not to distribute or do it slowly to save money.
Why is Specter trying to misdirect us from this obvious fact? Is it worth covering corporate ass when it's so obvious the companies did this deliberately? Every single damn time Scott. 24/7. Always coming up with creative ways of saying "Not the companies fault. It's just the way it is. Company Smart, you dumb." |
