Greetings all,
I've been out of the loop for the better part of a decade. I stopped collecting around the time DevilsDue lost the GIJOE license. I really haven't kept up with the IDW storylines. I saw that the GIJOE collectors club is no longer active. Has anyone taken their place? Are there still conventions? It's great to see all of the custom offerings. 3D printing made all the difference. Also, I like the RPG options that I see from Renegade. |

Honestly, besides both the figures and fanbase growing in size, it's the same as it ever was. Mostly it's just been Hasbro trying to figure out what to do with GI Joe just like always, and fans pissing, moaning, bitching and overreacting just like always. The return of o-ring is neat though.

Howdy!
IDW's contract runs out at the end of the year, and GI Joe #300 is slated to come out next month. I don't think it has been officially announced on whether or not Hama will continue to write the comic in the future, so I'm excited to see what happens next. Welcome back to the fun! Have any favorite characters or vehicles from back in the day? |

As someone who was around in 97, I can say I much prefer the energy I'm seeing now. Do I love everything that's out now? No, but I see a lot of positives.

Have any favorite characters or vehicles from back in the day? My all-time favorite was Flash. I liked the Persuader a bunch. I was fortunate to get my hands on the Night Force version too... I think it was the Night Storm. Back-Stop was a cool figure. I liked Sarge too. Glad to see he's involved again. |

They released a Snake Eyes movie that set the world on fire and made G.I. Joe a top-tier property once again (actually, it's the complete opposite of what I just wrote).

There's no collector's club, Hasbro does everything through livestreams now where they gives us names of upcoming figures or show us renders or pre-production samples that we pre-order
There's very little o-ring, which is just overpriced two-packs of core characters with some vehicles thrown in, Classified is the priority right now |

Film industry as a whole is a mess, but I don't know why there's this insistence on rewriting the mythos. They should be creating new adventures.
