I've no real constructive criticism to add in terms of design and have elected to gripe for the sake of griping.
I'm pretty disappointed with my Serpentor experience. I felt like I was being asked to spend money for a service that I genuinely wouldn't use enough to merit the expense just to secure a long anticipated and much hyped release that every Joe fan and their dog wanted to get their hands on. So I end up missing out because of this, in my eyes, transparent attempt to play into FOMO. I'm not mad at anyone. My day wasn't spoiled. I drank whiskey and watched horror movies. It was fun. But I'm annoyed, and I believe I'm going to call it a day with the brand. I feel like that's a knee jerk reaction, but then I look at my preorders, and they just don't particularly excite me. Maybe it's just my lingering annoyance at Serpentor. Maybe it's because I prefer o-rings. Maybe it's because it took me a damn hour to fit Croc and Fiona on the small amount of space remaining on my Classified display, and I don't wanna have to figure something else for them out right after I've put a lot of money and effort towards the current toy room setup, and I like it. Either way, Hasbro didn't let me get my toy, and I'm annoyed enough to take a serious look at the money I'm tossing their way for toys I only moderately want. Buncha mean toy makers. I was gonna hang him from the ceiling on his chariot, too. So don't you try and satisfy me with a chariot-less Serpentor. I'll be annoyed and get him and be even more annoyed when he has no chariot or I'll just miss him and then I'll be really really annoyed. It's a vicious cycle of annoyance, and whiskey and horror movies on a Sunday are looking like a pretty sweet deal right now.

I agree. Stands should always be available on Pulse and packed in with every figure. And blast effects should be readily available in bundles on Pulse as well.
Also agree about the alternate unmasked heads for all Joe figures. It's what sets the good guys apart from the bad guys. I've long been a been a proponent of an "Unmasked Wave," in Classified. In this wave you would have C.C., Destro, Beach Head, Fred, and the never been done before disfigured Snake Eyes. Quote:
Rock and Roll prompted this. A character that has some pretty significant updates from their ARAH look (things like a modern helmet, knee pads, etc) should have weapons that resemble something made less than 40 years ago or at least something still in wide use today.
I love everything about that figure's design except for that clunky Vietnam War era M60. Yes, I know it's iconic, but it was also a pain in the ass to use by most accounts, and that machine gun has been updated multiple times since then and an E6, E4, or even an E3 (much like the one John Matrix uses in Commando) would fit much better with the overall look. Gridiron got you my dude. Piggybacking on what you said about R 'n R and reiterating what I said earlier, it's an interesting decision that the design team made with him. Though I would have preferred a v1 Rock 'n Roll, I'm not mad at the choice. However, if they were going tweak and update R 'n R's look for Classified I really don't see the purpose in giving him a M60. (unless of course they're going to reuse it for the v1 inspired Rock 'n Roll at a later date.) Personally, I would have liked to seen Rock 'n Roll come with SIG SAUER NGSW-AR XM250 Automatic Rifle. If Lenny and 'em are going to update Grunt then they shouldn't him a M16. Modern looks on figures with antiquated "blasters," lack congruency. They should give Grunt the Sig Spear. Also, the design team should avoid giving COBRA Command American "blasters," and they should step away from the pistols based on Lugers and Mauser. Though distinctive in design the Lugers and Mausers the design team are using for COBRA look "old timey," and antiquated.

- CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. It's horrid. You can read the threads and see that it's the only thing that is driving people away from collecting the line.
--- Botched / hacked rollouts of exclusives on Pulse - with not enough product to meet demand. --- Pre-Orders continue to not ship on time - with no updates on their status. Unacceptable. --- "Retail Partners" that are seemingly hurting rather than helping. From the beginning Target has been a fiasco... no other word for it. --- Windowless Packaging that will eliminate a large percentage of the collector base. --- No updates about products that had been revealed long ago - specifically the O-Ring re-launch. - ALL Joes, except for Snake Eyes, should come with an 'un-masked' head. This is a crucial part of the storytelling. COBRA hides their faces. JOE doesn't. Figures like Barbecue, Beachhead and Torpedo need to come with an alternate unmasked head. - Blast Effects & Stands. Heck, just make a Classified Battle Pack with guns, helmets and everything - just like the good old days. - Something feels 'off' about Falcon's head. Perhaps its the face print tech? Lips seem too purple-ish? |

It's also extremely disheartening that they had NO mention of o-rings at all. we back and fund an amazing skystriker, have some cool o-ring reveals through the year and get to pulse con and not a peep. anything, like "hey check back later" or "news to come" anything would have made me feel better.

Maybe all need to look up what constructive criticism actually means (wiki at least). Honestly I had to to it myself just now. More honestly, this thread isn't it at this time. I understand people are frustrated with things and othings, but this thread was suppose to be directed to the Classified designers, who expressed openness to constructive criticism to design (wasn't said by Emily).
This thread is a really great idea, but don't want it to fall on deaf ears right out the gate... |

For some constructive feedback, I’d really like to see some weapon accessory packs. Different sets to customize the troopers and vipers kind of like what grid iron offers would be great (hopefully not at $30-40 price points though). I’d also like to see more vehicles even if they’re just gliders/jetpack type accessories. Bases would be amazing too. I think with the haslab success, the sky is the limit really

They could easily do some accessory packs just like they did in the vintage line, like the Bivoauc, Forward Observer, Cobra Rifle Range, Machine Gun Defense, etc. and do them at the $20-$30 price point. That would be great.

I think 20k wasn't a bad production run for this. Let's be real, Serpentor is a divisive characters and Joe fans have very strong reactions to price. There was a decent chance that Serpentor might not have been a great seller.
