I have to say, my Cover Girl's arms are fine. There's no separation in the bicep swivel. It's just her legs that are all messed up.

With the exceptional increases in material cost (petroleum product) and shipping cost (gas) over the last two years, I find this imaginative view to be unlikely. If they're producing small enough quantities to not be holding inventory, that will help but it will continue to frustrate collectors.

My Cover Girl is holding up OK, but my Zarana tends to lose an arm while posing. It pops back in, but it's still not a great experience. |

Truth, just wish they could cut down on the turnaround time. Looking at my Walmart preorders, the excitement starts to fade after so many months pass by.
My Cover Girl is holding up OK, but my Zarana tends to lose an arm while posing. It pops back in, but it's still not a great experience. I never jumped into the windowless packaging discussion before because I am not a MIB collector, but I saw a lone Cover Girl in person at the Target off of Spring Garden the other day and initially thought it was bad marketing. My second thought is that it didn't matter because those of us JOE fans have methods of finding out what the figures will look like online and via other means. We buy the characters because we already know who they are and what they are supposed to look like (not without disagreement of course). I don't think the windows will really draw children to the line or even other collectors in our age group if they were not already fans of the property. With spectacular video game technology and the prevalence of social media, kids are getting out of physical toys earlier. The main concern with windowless packaging is of course thievery and jackassery. I know they changed course again, but those are the opinions I was holding in. This leads to my belief relevant to the thread that the line will eventually die because it is mainly supported by adult collectors that fall predominantly into a certain age range. |
